My first attempt at drawing Knuffels

I found the create knuffel section and I want to sketch up some for everyone. However my modelling software isn't exactly great at chibi works and as far as I know there are no templates or tracing models available for knuffels so this was my best attempt with what I had. I did use the knuffel guide thing to get my model proportions as close as I could so here it is. Am I close?

Hey, there.
Looks good so far.^^

In the wild knuffel creating section are the bases from Firn and I send you a link to Tiamatsans Bases.
You can find it in your newbie thread.^^

Drawing WK makes so much fun. :qlov:

Thanks! I think I'll use my models. Mostly cause it sets my knuffels apart from everyone else's and I spent the better half of a day getting my model absolutely perfect so now I feel a bit obligated to. Plus my model moves so I can change whatever I want as long as it stays within the allotted spaces. Can't wait to post phase one of the one I'm working on.

Seems like it'll take one or two days per drawing. But I'm proud of my work.

Oh, this is going to be darling!

You created a moveable model? That sounds really intense! Where did you learn how to program like that? Did you teach yourself?

Sort of. It's a program called Design Doll. It's a 3d model you can move and pose however you like. I use it for pretty much all my drawings. It took a while to get the proportions right for Knuffels, but now I can do more poses and more unique works.

That sounds complex but ideal for many purposes! It also sounds like it was a lot of work to master. You must have a lot of determination. :qwhee:

Actually Design Doll is really easy to get the hang of. If you're trying to work with normal proportions. Getting specialty ones, like chibi style, are a little difficult as the program wasn't built with them in mind. Luckily you can search their website for other dolls that people have created. I found one that was close and fine tuned it from there.

I HIGHLY recommend Design Doll. Best tool for models EVER.

Is it for free?

I draw my Knuffels via smartphone and an App called Sketch.^^
