@Mem: I know that series. One of the people in my friend's group in high school read it and loved it. She had the audacity to say it was not a series for me. Which made me want to read them, but I read other (and probably) better book series instead.

Honor Bound sounds like an obsolete train wreck from your summary/review.

I got a good chunk of my book done. Would have read more, but got too tired reading it in my big comfy chair to read more, but as soon as my head hit the pillow I was wide awake. A shame this one isn't an ebook, but I still love physical books so much better.

Obsolete train wreck is VERY accurate! I think it was written in the 80s and took place in the 80s, but it seemed obsolete even for the 80s, so in my head I just kept trying to picture it taking place more like in the 40s or 50s lol.

I just started Night Shift by Nora Roberts.

@Rubie: Why wouldn't it be for you tho? (besides it's no good for anyone at some point in the series)

I'm 38 pages into Night Shift by Nora Roberts. I'm thinking I might not end up liking this one either....
Spoiler
It's about a radio announcer who works the night shift. When she takes requests, she starts getting calls from a guy threatening to kill her. After a few days of it, her boss calls the police. The police send over two detectives to get their statements. Then one of the detectives sits in her booth with her for her whole show to see if the guy will call again to try to trace it. She's a little attracted to the detective, but she's not letting it show. But he's already kind of weirdly obsessed with her and has already yelled at her. What is it with 80s and 90s romance guys yelling all the time!? And I don't know if they would send one detective, let alone two detectives, to spend hours investigating some loony who called a radio show in the middle of the night.

Gotta love unbelievable and inconsistent plots xD They'd probably just ask for some records, right? :mclol:

I already needed a break from Night Shift, so I started Agatha by Edna Maye Manley.

@mem: no clue to be honest. They said that about other things too. Oh well, I read a wider range of books in high school though so I don't understand why she would have said that.

@Sans: See that's when I would put a book down for months and not read anything else until I get back to it. I wish I could convince myself to read a book in between one.

side note: it drove me nuts in school when I had to read a book for a class because I couldn't read two books even back then. I don't know how I did it, but I can remember the annoyed feeling I got from it.

I'm surprised that I can read multiple books at once because I have a really bad memory, but for some reason I have no problem with it and have always done it that way.
