@Rubie: Maybe she didn't want you to spoil the series for her? idk XD

Lol, January is slowly coming to an end and I'm not even half through my book :mcargh: Oh well, I can't stress about it.

@mem: it's been so long ago that I don't know if that would have been the case, but yeah, I usually never spoiled. I just be vague and tell them "let me know when that thing happens" or something lol.

My goal was two books to kick off the year by end of January. Not so sure if I'll get there. Still got a full week, but trying to get ahead on some other things this year too.

I meant more like talking shit about the series :D I didn't chose the best words maybe. I'm not a native English speaker :mcheh:

I get an impression like a lot of people set some major goals for the year and they're super organized and into it, powering through. Feels like a powerful year.

OH I get you now!

Usually my goal every year is to read more, but then I also set some other goals on top of that this year to keep me motivated and not sit around like I usually end up doing (I swear winter just makes me extra tired with the sun always going down early and such)

I'm halfway through the book I'm reading and I know for a fact I'm liking it better than the first book in the series. I'll probably end up finishing it this weekend or early next week. The pages are so easy to read and I'm not doing my usually "am I almost to the end of the chapter?" checking.

I usually don't really make new year's resolutions or set any goals. Last year I made it my goal to write that effing book, but I got totally kicked off the rails. So it's also this year's goal. Reading is a side goal for that. I have a huge list of books to read and only half an hour a day during the week, minus the weekends. I might reconsider my weekend schedule though, because I noticed I'm wasting a lot of time.
Yeah, people get super sluggish in winter, I get that too.

Wow, you're reading it fast! I'm only somewhere on one third of my book.

I'm halfway through Night Shift. It's not good. It's bearable.

@memoriam: good luck with your book this year! writing plans can be hard to reach. but I know you can do it :mcwink:

I'm 59% done with the second book for the year, and I know that the action is going to skyrocket very soon, so I'm putting it off till when there's more time for a page-turning mode. thinking about what I could pick up for train rides. just to survive the next two weeks while I can't come home and continue reading because I should come home and continue working [insert the smiley that's laughing and crying at the same time here]

I finished Night Shift. I had the second book in the series too. I think it was called Night Shadow. But the first book wrapped up just fine on its own, and it was not good, so I'm going to bother with the second one.

I also finished Agatha, which I did enjoy.

I got less than 80 pages left in my book, so I'll be done tomorrow night if I don't get myself hooked into completing it tonight. Going to take a short break before starting the next book to get a few things accomplished.
