Story of my life. Every time I read one I have usually gone to the bookstore and bought two more. At least this year I got a little ahead I think? I've only been to the bookstore once.

OH and fun fact. I was at my sister's and we were trying to pick a movie to watch on netflix and I book series I have only read the first book of got turned into a tv show. Now I want to reread the first book and continue the series. Please save me. I looked it up and it's a 12 book series.

Sidenote: actually read a book that was published this year to vote for it on goodread's best books of 2020.

*pats Rubie* This made me chuckle. I'm pretty sure I have a few series like that and I just can't bring myself to watch the shows until I read the books first. It's a curse xD I try to not think about it actively or else I might go on a book shopping spree :mcheh:

Exactly. I mean one or two at a time. Knowing me I'd buy the whole series in like a month if I actively read it. Funny thing is with this book I remember exactly where I read it, but not the details.
Also the reason why I haven't watched Game of Thrones, but eh, I heard it's kind of really bad the last season. lol. (I have read the first 3 books, but I'd need to reread them before I tackle book 4 since so many details)

I began watching GoT before I found out it was a book series. The last 3 seasons are bad, the last one was disappointing. But I promised myself I wouldn't read the books until Martin actually finishes the series. Besides, I think I better not read it anyways XD

If you want to be stuck reading for a long time then you wouldn't. I am a slow reader too so I think one of the books took me over a month of actual reading (which was like half a year because I did that thing where I put it down and not touch it for a while). And you would be waiting a while for him to finish the series. There is just soo many details in that I wouldn't remember everything from one book to the next if I waited from one release date to the next.
(says the person who's reading Sanderson's The Stormlight Archive series which is a 10 book series with book 4 coming out next month...)

I finished The Girl in the Torch. It's a JUV book that I've slowly been reading when I play Hearthstone and the other person takes a long time on their turn. It was pretty good for the most part, but I wasn't crazy about the ending.
