.... they have antivenom shots you can carry in your pocket?
Wow, am I out of touch.
Last I heard, for a snakebite you slashed open the bite and let it bleed freely and constricted the up-stream blood vessels slightly to slow its spread....
I'm thinking, with my out-dated info, they'd both die and I'd be up on charges.

But, yeah, given an antivenom shot, let's see. Dad's pretty healthy, my best friend has some serious underlying health issues which mean she shouldn't be out hiking to begin with... even with the shot she probably wouldn't make it. (Seriously she should NOT be out there), so I'd probably give it to my father and hope that the ensuing life-long therapy would help me deal with the guilt of watching her die. What a terrible choice.
