I wish there was a way to reset the Knuffels levels

Wouldn't that allow too easy gain of food, with each tenth level, I think. You can always try releasing the knuffel to Knufftropolis and repurchase it asap, hmm...

Nope, released Knuffel still do go back to Knufftropolis.
I release them, repurchase them and make pretty much all my food that way. It's easy but it does take quite some time, even with lava lamps

I had trouble with releasing an EVENT knuffel and getting them back that way; maybe you were thinking of that? The one we could by for some 4k , or thereabouts? Was it the Anniversary one?

Anyhow.
My timing was bad, I was trying to reset where I'd put the digging element level-ups and just flat lost it because it was about two minutes after the event ended and it moved from regular Knufftropolis to the Older Gen section.
(Conclusion on that one, I think, was: if I wanted it back, I had to pay the 4 and couldn't buy it back normally like older gen knuffel, because Event Knuffel Are Different)

But maybe you're thinking of a different incident, I don't know.
