Random bit of information, but I really adore the 90s anime style.
Like yeah they all differ, but they're blatantly 90s.  48%  [ 16 ]

I often see people complaining about clickbait and it's not really a huge pet peeve for me.
I can understand why people get upset about it, but it's not really something I deem important enough to get upset over.
If it's like "Something terrible has happened!" but then nothing terrible really happened - I tend to be relieved instead of angry.
I also see a lot of clickbait that...if you have a lot of common sense, you won't fall for it to begin with so I'm always puzzled as to why people thought it was true when it so clearly isn't.

How do you feel about clickbait?
What's the worst you've seen?
Do you like eating raw potatoes?
Stay away from raw potatoes >8u

I don't mind clickbait titles if they're simply over-exaggerating something, but I do mind it if it ends up not being in the video or article at all. It's a classic "it depends" scenario.

I think my biggest annoyance with clickbait is when the title of a video/article would give someone/something a really bad reputation, while the text clears up nothing is wrong at all. A lot of people only read titles and therefore the bad reputation stays. I can't think of a clear example right now, but I do know it's happened to a few YouTubers where a title called them out while nothing was actually going on.

But a harmless one such as "something terrible has happened" and then it mentions something minor, I don't mind that at all. I often find clickbait titles even incredibly funny.

As for the worst I've seen, you're asking a lot from my memory there, haha. Maybe I'll return to that at some later point. I just don't like any titles that could 'frame' someone I guess.

I often don't even like cooked potatoes, so raw ones won't do either. Beware, it's also unhealthy to eat raw. :qt:

Depends on the clickbait.

If it's things like "you won't believe this happened" (usually followed by "not clickbait" in all caps) it's meh. (also one of the youtubers I occasionally watch kind of made his brand on ending every video title with "and I regret everything", that's how I found his channel and I regret nothing :mctongue: )

The kind of clickbait that really annoys me is when it's falsely representing the product it's trying to "sell" (yes, I'm looking at you mobile games ads).
Have you ever tried to find a nice, relaxing but slightly challenging puzzle game just to somehow end up with something that is the result of an unholy union of city builders and idlers, sprinkled with some time management sim and completely stuffed with microtransations?
What is the point of getting the clicks and downloads if the thing that was advertised actually does not exist?

Also, please don't eat raw potatoes.

I've seen a lot of cases where people just read the title and make a comment without reading the actual article.
I saw it recently and spent time reading through the comments just to see who didn't read the article.

I've eaten raw potatoes nearly my whole life.
Not like...a whole potato but when they've been cut up and washed and about to be cooked - eating a few pieces.
First time I've been told not to xD
Thanks for the warning u8
I'm just sitting here eating raw potatoes thinking they're good for me and they're just sitting there trying to be toxic u8<

Most clickbait is slightly annoying. What really annoys me is stuff that's not all on one page. If I click a link and there's a "next" button on the page chances are that I will not bother with it. "Ain't nobody got time for that!" :qg:

clickbait doesn't bother me at all. it's a genre of online content that is pretty insignificant in the grand scheme. it's only a problem when it becomes viral and you have people believing false information that is potentially harmful.

mostly i struggle with REALLY wanting to see what the clickbait is about but knowing that that's the point and there isn't a real satisfying answer to be found, and also my computer definitely has a virus now, lol

I dont mind it. If its clickbait I can usually tell within the first couple of minute. Like others have said it's not rlly worth being upset about, that's too much energy expended on something insignificant.

Like ArmyAunt says, I'm annoyed with clickbait when it's like, a gallery. I'm not giving you ad-views!

You know what's worse than a gallery

A gallery that doesn't even have the thing from the title in it
