Misunderstanding

I've had many misunderstandings in my time, mostly online and they can be anxiety inducing.

I remember commenting on a Creepypasta reading video and someone misunderstood what I was saying.
I said "Creepypasta readings didn't exist when I was a kid. I had to read books uB"
See, I HATE reading. I HAD to read books and I didn't like it.
But someone misunderstood me and said "I can't stand it when older people say this shit! It's not my fault I was born in the time computers and the internet exist! You know damn well you would have used this technology if you had it then!"
I had a good laugh and responded "I didn't say any of that. You just made all of that up yourself and got angry at it xD"

I also tend to say stuff to mess with people, but since I sound like I'm completely serious - people believe me.

How often do you have misunderstandings with people?
What have they been?
Do you like ocelots?

ugh.... the eternal struggle of people reading meaning into your words with no prompting whatsoever...
the most annoying thing about it is that i've become a rambling pedant because i hate it when people misunderstand me and then put words in my mouth just because i didn't explain every single possible minute detail i could have *possibly* meant by saying something.
also yes ocelots are adorable.

I love ocelots haha. I have misunderstandings all the time, it’s frustrating. I’m too trusting and don’t always pick up on sarcasm which is ironic because I’m rather sarcastic myself. And I don’t tend to like when people say things to mess with me.
