I have a lot of issues recognizing faces and I don't know why.
As I've mentioned, I love true crime stuff and I love reading about unsolved cold cases and I've come across pictures of victims and people showing other pictures, trying to solve their identity and they'll say "This looks just like them!" "This person has the same nose!" and I...can't tell xD
I often have to ask others if the people look the same because I genuinely can't tell.
And it's not like faces are blurry or anything weird - I just can't recognize them.

When it comes to trash tv and "You're The Father!" where people say "This baby looks just like him!" and I...can't tell. It looks like a baby.

I just find it really sucky that I have issues recognizing faces xD
Like...it shouldn't be hard for me to do that.
I mean, I recognize my close family's faces, but extended family, people I see at the store a lot, famous people, random other people - I can't recognize their faces.
Even when my mom shows me old family photos, I don't know these people.
She get annoyed and tells me I do know them and I don't xD

My mom, however, NEVER forgets a face. You can show her a baby photo of any actor or actress and she'll know who it is instantly. She even saw this missing person poster I was looking at from the 70s and she said "I remember seeing that girl's posters!"
I am honestly amazed that she can remember and recognize faces.
It's a really amazing gift .__.

There are a few cases where I do remember faces. Mostly because they were shitty people.
As I mentioned, I love true crime and I will see a person's mugshot and remember exactly who they were and what they did.
It doesn't always happen, but it does happen.

Can you recognize faces?

"I'll miss the winter
A world of fragile things
Look for me in the white forest
Hiding in a hollow tree (come find me)
I know you hear me,
I can taste it in your tears."

Im pretty good at remembering faces. I may not always remember your name but I will remember your face. I started at a new gas station a few weeks back and someone's card got declined and I didn't notice until after he left so I paid for his cigerettes.. he came in last night and I was like, "didn't you buy the pack of Marlboro Edge a few weeks ago...?" and he said, "yeah." I told him his card had declined and I had paid for his cigs. He apologized and paid me back. Ive only ever seen that dude once.

It just depends but usually if I've met them. If I've only seen them on TV or something I probably wouldn't. I saw Evander Holyfield one time at a job I had and I had to ask one of my coworkers why no one would let the poor man eat. XD I didn't recognize him until they told me and then I could see it. :qoops: I used to always remember names too but not so much anymore. :/

I'm not good with faces and names. Even worse now that people wear facemasks and I only see the upper part of the face lol.
It's annying at work when I have appointments with people and I don't recognize them the second time I see them

I... Have a serious problem with recognizing faces. Which is very strange, since my sight is totally fine. I tend to sometimes mistake my friends for stranges and vice versa, seeing my friends in the people I don't know. There was also one time when I did not recognize my own father... Which was super strange considering at that time we were still living together.

That's why I don't depend on a face anymore. I look at their whole body, what they have, how they move... And their voice. When people speak, everything is perfectly clear.

My friends think I'm just unperceptive. It's only partly true. I just have trouble recognizing them, even if they are very close friends. Though I have to admit I'm really glad they just accept it.

I want to practise my English. If you see any mistakes, please send me a pm.

Why do some people use such a small font size? It hurts my eyes... :mcdead:

I always get the odd feeling I’ve seen someone somewhere before but I also work in a restaurant and see so many different people
