I don't think Teen Titans counts as an anime unless we're talking about the broad definition of it being an animation. But, a good show, still. Are you talking about the original or the more goofy remake one?

I know teen titans took a lot of inspiration from anime, but I don't think it's really considered one. I do know that they had their intro regularly sung in Japanese by Ami and Yumi, but I think the rest of the show was completely developed in the Unites States.

Think Teen Titans would be considered more of a Cartoon since its created for a western audience. Also originally aired in the normal cartoon network lineup and not on Toonami which was when the network would air anime.

It's kind of like the debate, is Avatar the last Airbender anime? Anime is difficult to define. Like, is anime an art style of animation, or is it Japan animation specific?

I've always heard the word "anime" used strictly to refer Japanese animation.
That said, what do you think Japanese people call anime? Maybe they call anime to all animation, even foreign one, and we are being picky about something which themselves would not give a damn about...

I feel like Anime is usually hand drawn in a certain style, but there are plenty of cartoons inspired by Anime.
