Streaming services: HBO, Netflix, Disney, etc.

10 years ago it seemed almost science fiction, now we have plenty of streaming services to choose from.
Which ones do you have?

I got HBO.
It has a good selection of content both for adults (we don't watch a lot, but we do like series) and children (although he's into Pokemon now and currently does not watch it).

Other platforms have interesting content too, but paying two monthly fee seemed unnecesary since we don't have so much leisure time.

Oh, that's cool, you have a shared account.
I think these services limit somehow the number of devices linked to an account, don't they? So I guess you can share with a limited number of friends...

We do share ours with my parents-in-law, now that I think of it.
They use it sparingly so it made no sense for them to sign up, but every now and then they watch something using our account.

I only have one, the main Dutch broadcaster. It stinks service-wise, but it's cheap and I can watch everything they offer with Dutch subs, even though I'm in another EU country. (there'd be restrictions for some programs otherwise)

I had Netflix once, but I was bored with it after a while? I do still use spotify. I like listening to my music when driving, but I have been using it a lot less last year, 'cause... there was less/no driving. >.<

You have a premium account with Spotify?
See, I never bought one, I don't really mind having an ad here and there, so free account is fine for me.

Well, I'm currently using Deezer, but it's a music provider too.
And I only use it at home anyway.

Yes, I figured out that while it's 10 euro in western europe, it's only 5 in eastern europe. Seemed affordable enough for me. :) I like it better without the adds and apparently you can skip tracks if you want to. I like the "suggested" lists of music based on my pref. But as I said, I'm more a music person (alone in the car mostly, so the download option is also handy) than movie watcher.

I also listen to podcasts on it. :)

I do like music in the car, but I've ripped some of my fave CDs and also downloaded some good old songs - yeah, I'm already old enough to not get into "new" music styles :mclaugh:

But I only use them in my (short) drive to work, because otherwise I just switch on the radio.
I'm that old fashioned :mclaugh:

Radio stinks over here, there are 4 channels, they have the same stuff over and over and the commercials make me sick, all political. I even start to dislike Youtube 'cause of the commercials from the government. Nasty and you cannot skip them anymore. >.>

I don't really get into new styles anymore, but they often give some new music in "my" style, which could be old 90s stuff, but also new music in the same style. have found some bands through it. :) but yeah, there are days when I just want to sing (scream) along with known stuff, there's also a playlist for that. ;-D

My car does not eat cd's anymore. ;__; I don't even have a cd player at home anymore. ;_____;

We bought a new car recently. It does not take CDs, so I ripped my own CDs into mp3.

And now that I think of it, I don't think my phone could handle Spotify without wifi.
I have quite a basic phone plan.

That's why I like downloading at home, if the net is lost, I can still listen on.

I did make a usb stick with some of my music, but I'm not sure where it is. If I'm honest, I often listen to the same stuff. Sometimes I feel like looking them up on Youtube and noticing the music clip and I'm like... wtf?! Never seen that before. xD

Black hole sun was one of those wtf's for me.

Lol, but we can get back to streaming. Any must-see shows? I really loved The Bridge, think that got on netflix as well and there's a Dutch series which got on there as well... Undercover, thought that one was good as well. :) :)

I still need to watch season 3 (and on?) of the Handmaid's tale, enjoyed that series as well. Not sure if that's on HBO?
