So I'm once again back after a lengthy hiatus and... er.... I have 108 unread messages. Since it can't release all of them at once, I have no way to even begin sorting them.

Help?

What is the usual way to handle this?

Unread messages are now at 144.

I definitely can't release them to read them.


Is there any way to delete all the ones that came from Market notifications or something? I bet that's the majority....

I am afraid there is no way to automatically delete messages from certain senders, all you can do is delete them manually.

But I can't even get them, in order to start deleting.... it won't release them at all since it's over the limit for messages.
So...
How do I even start?

I do have a rule defined to do what you mention, but although it does work the system to add new rules seems to be broken :|

Anway you can try to change your other PM settings, in case that helps.

Ahhh! I didn't know this existed! Thank you! I made a new folder and told it to put overflow messages there and it released most of them!!
It deleted 13 and I don't know what was in those 13 but hopefully nothing important
