I'm going to try doing 3 poems a day for every day in November. Wish me luck!

Caterwauling
I've been trying to learn the guitar
But haven't yet got very far
As my calluses grow
And the "melodies" flow
The cacophony empties the bar

Okay this is harder than I thought.

Anyone want to help by giving me a prompt? Anything at all....

Mornings
When poems speak of dew that is pearly
I find myself feeling quite surly
Scenery's fine
But dew makes me whine
'Cause morning arrives far too early!

(Lack of) Writing
My muse has retired for the day
(though for her return I will pray)
& I can't seem to find
The right words in my mind
And am left with nothing to say.

TV: Behind the Scenes
The dream of reaching the top
Drives the screenwriters' drama non-stop
They drink coffee all night
And pore over each fight
In terror of making a flop

November 2nd, poem number 2:

Garnish:
Genovese, Cinnamon, Thai
All Basils that I want to try
Though they've each their own name
They all grow the same
And spruce up my lunch of fish fry

November 2nd, poem number 3:

Where'd That List Go, Anyhow?
As I stand in the grocery store
I'm sure there was something more
First it was nuts
And then the cold-cuts
This third trip back is a bore!

November 3rd, poem number 1:

White Noise
The lullaby that I love most
Is heard when I sleep at the coast
The waves on the beach
Always puts me to sleep
I can snooze through the boasts of a ghost

Potables
The Tea vs. Coffee debate
Goes on at my household full spate
One sister loves tea
One champions coffee
While I espouse juice as first-rate
