Thanks a lot :qh:

I mean, the hotel I'm working at isn't even ready yet so a second one is stretching it. But I don't care, not my problem XD

Thankfully, they're getting two more full time staff starting April which should help a lot. Though I don't care that much because I'm scheduled to be all alone in the building anyway.

Sounds like you were given a position of trust... and hopefully it's pretty quiet so you don't get stuck having to deal with a lot all by yourself.

I rather liked night shifts for that reason -much quieter. (Until it isn't, but every job has those moments, so...)

I would hate night shifts :|
I'm a morning person, I would not have enough stamina to work at night.

Ha ha ha, you and I are reversed!
Mornings are awful for me.
It takes so long for my brain to wake up....
I'll be moving around and dressed and going through the motions, but it'll take me 10 minutes to realize the implications of what someone said, if they try to talk in the morning. And if I try to do paperwork that early, I always have to spend more time later in the day checking it over and fixing it.

It takes me a while to get really started, my first hour is in a kind of mental fog, but because my mom is the same I've learned the trick from her: get up earlier! :D

Everybody in my family is an early bird, so much that sometimes I forget the rest of the world is not :mclaugh:

Wow, your whole family even? That's amazing!
If I get up earlier, my fog just lasts longer.
What does help is in the summer, when it gets light earlier. If it's light out, the mental fog burns away faster... but that's not something I can control.

Although someone told me about a type of alarm clock which was just a big set of lights (with special bulbs designed to mimic sunlight) that turns on when you set the alarm for.
I kind of want to try it, but I know it would be out of my budget.

Where I'm from, it's quite usual having family nicknames. "Oh, so you are one of the family X!"
Well, my family nickname would be something like Fog Bank.
Because in the old times when men would go work in the fields, greatgrandpa was out way before the morning fog disappeared. So. Very early bird.

My husband at first thought I was kinda weird because I like getting up early in the weekend. Then he got used... and even embraced it :mclaugh:

I'm an early bird as well. I'm very bad with nights.

It's very practical for some things and totally not for other. It's annoying to have to wait to do errands for example. I've been ready since 6 why are you only opening at 11?

Ha ha ha ha, your family could have been the Knockermen!
You know, back in the days when you would hire someone to come knock on your bedroom window and wake you up in the morning?
Before we had alarm clocks?

Kuuki do you mostly have the place to yourself when you get up so early or are there a lot of other early risers in your neighborhood?

There are a few early risers but they are few and far and between.
Mostly early risers are going to work instead of leisurely strolling in the park so it feels very peaceful.
