At this point I've mostly got the pacing specifically under control, but pacing was one of my OCD compulsions for years. I don't know why pacing in particular, although I've heard it's a common one. Essentially what differentiated it from just pacing as a habit was:
- I would feel extremely ill at ease if I didn't do it when my brain decided it was "time to pace"
- I'd do it for like 4 - 8 hours a day
- I'd end up with like massive bruises on my ankles, or like severe cramps in my calves, and just keep pacing anyway
- I had to walk in a specific room in a specific pattern, while holding a specific object

OCD is weird. I still have a lot of compulsions, but they're not quite as severe.
oh wow!

uh, I don't know if I have OCD honestly, I want to say I don't, but I pace almost every day, for like 2 or 3 hours depending, but when I pace I feel better, I get motivated and I got work done if there is any to do. (yard work or dishes etc) pacing as always been a good thing for me, if I'm feeling depressed my bf will ask me if I want to pace for a while. I pace in a line back and forth and I always always have to have my headphones on, and not some wireless ones or ear buds, it has to be wired over the ear head phones XD

My Bestie struggled with OCD.

I mowed one time and I felt like I was going to black out...
Since then, I don't mow when it's too hot out.
I wanted the mowing to get done so I did it while it was still hot out.
In my defense, it's Texas and it's always hot Bu
oh gosh working in the heat SUUCCKKSSS I get heatstroke so easily.

Like a lot of disorders, a diagnostic requirement for OCD is that the symptoms cause you distress. So if pacing is a happy thing for you, and you don't find it troubles you, then there's nothing to worry about I think :mclaugh:

Yeah, that's pretty much what happens with me too xD
I'm so used to getting hurt that I tend to ignore stuff a lot :\
