OC and Character Collections

Hey all!
What do you use to 'home' all your OC's and all the art you collect of them?
I used to use a Weebly website but it's a bit of a pain to keep updated.

I want a Toyhouse account but don't know how to get a referral link lol - seems weird that it's still in beta?

I've been wanting to collect more art of my OC's, I rarely get commissions of them and want to begin my treasure hoard~

:bat:

I assume you want something where you can store and show the art.
But does it need any special configuration? Because otherwise a simple ImgBB account would work... wouldn't it?

Well I'd like a place to show them off as well; can imgbb do that too?
I like the way Toyhouse lets you have a section for each OC, then collate their info as well as hyperlink credit to the artist and such

ImgBB, Imgur, Photobucket... those are all places which allow you to store images.
You can arrange them in folders and subfolder.
I mean, for any pics, I have photos of my pets there.

I've looked up that Toyhou.se website, and it kinda looks like DevianArt for OCs?
And that you can trade art?
It's way more specific, but if you can't get into it then I suppose more basic options are a way to go.

I've never tried to use toyhou.se. I didn't think you could have limitless amounts of Ocs, for free at least? It's nice for having a profile and pictures but I do maintain a Weebly page for my Oc's. I consider that my main place to make profiles and I have over 100 profiles there but otherwise, I just store my oc profiles on the sites I use them like Roleplay Repository and other rping sites that let you build and store profiles.

In the past I used Charahub but that site must be long dead by now!

Hasn't Toyhouse been around for years at this point? Very weird they're still in Beta.

I just use notebooks. Actual notebooks. Well, and some three ring binders and some loose paper in folders, depending on what the characters are for.

Keeping track of characters is tricky, I don't know how many times I've suddenly needed to fill in some details for a background character and then realized two weeks later that it was all cribbed from somewhere else that was only half-remembered. Story characters show up in TTRPGs and vice-versus all the time.
Fortunately once there's been enough of them created, it's hard to distinguish a conglomerate character from an entirely new one... especially if you just slap a brand-new but quite visible quirk on top.

You could also just post them here!

ha ha ha, you could even create a separate avatar for each one in the DAC to post a "picture" of them along with a description!

You're right!
You could create a thread in the Arts & Discussion subforum and earn some donuts along the way

Ooooh, or you could create a specific Knuffel collection -they have room for Descriptions below, so each Knuffel could have the name of an OC and you could create a description for them describing the OC, and the Knuffel could be that OC's knuffel-companion...

I really wish we could create specific tab/groupings of our knuffel....
