It's not weird for me but... everyone seems to comment on it, so I guess it is?

I have sensory issues with food textures a lot and cannot eat most foods that have touched each other. XD Like, I can't even eat sandwiches. I take them apart and eat each piece separately. Some foods, like soups are alright most of the time. And like, pasta with sauce is fine.

Another thing I do, is eat one ingredient at a time. Let's say I have beef stew. I'll eat the all of one component before moving to the next one, in order from what I least like to most like. And there are never differing types in each mouthful. Cause of the texture thing.

I don't eat out much because I also have food allergies that cause anaphylaxis if I even smell it. So not many people see me eat at least.

My 7-year old is like that too, eating everything separately, all of one ingredient before he moves onto th next one.
Sometimes I wonder whether it's just a phase, or will it be an issue his whole life...

Well, I never grew out of it... and I'm 30 so.. XD

A thing that might help is divided plates. So that the food doesn't touch.

Yeah, because you have sensory issues, right?
I don't know if that's his case. Maybe it's not, he's just fussy about plenty of things because it's a great age to be fussy about everything xD

It really requires a lot of planning ahead, eating one of those.
Yes, I have to make up a chart weeks in advance.

:mcwink:

- Hey, Josie, what are you doing with all those floorplans and charts and everything?
- Planning a bank heist.
- WTF!
- Not really, I'm eating Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.
- Ah, that makes so much more sense.

I AIN'T GOT TIME TO PLAN A BANK HEIST, I'VE GOT DESSERT TO DEAL WITH.

I remember ages ago they used to do commercials that seemed specifically tailored to lunatics like me with the tagline "There's no wrong way to eat a Reese's." I remember a vampire one where he sucked the peanut butter out first...

They are not sold here, so I've never seen the ads, but sounds like a fun commercial!

Sometimes commercials are just funnier than movies xD

Aw man, you're missing out! I mean maybe, if you like peanut butter and chocolate. I went to England once and they didn't have them and I missed them terribly. That was a million years ago so maybe they do now.

Has your country got a PB/chocolate substitute if you haven't got Reese's? Or do I need to pity you terribly? Or do you hate peanut butter and/or chocolate so it doesn't matter?
