You never know how much stuff you own until you have to pack and move LOL

A general rule I used when I pack/clean is if I haven't used this thing in a year, and its not a necessity, then just toss it.

So often we keep things far too long for "sentimental value". But if you look at it and feel no strong sentiment and only confusion over to keep it or not, then it can likely be tossed XD

As a rule of thumb, if you are asking yourself whether you should keep something the answer is NO.
If you really needed something, you really used it or wanted to keep it in your life for whatever reason, you would not hesitate - you would know for sure.
If you hesitate, most likely they are just a burden.

tackle the packing little bits at a time and take plenty of breaks, it can be overwhelming without a doubt. Last time I had to pack everything, it was a surprise how much I actually had and surprisingly fun finding things that I'd forgotten I even had around :qwhee:

This problem will be solved once we have wide access to shrink rays. No need to debate whether it brings you joy or not, just shrink it all up and stuff it in a matchbox!

I'm moving soon and dreading it horrifically. :mccry:

Shrink rays sound quite awesome, but remember labeling everything before you shrink it - cause you don't want to unshrink the wrong box later :mclaugh:

I moved about 3000 miles (AGAIN) about 6 months ago and packing was a PAIN cause I couldn't afford to get a moving truck. So I only took a few boxes and left the rest with my roommates. Only got the rest of the boxes last month. They...aren't unpacked yet. Mainly cause I still need to buy more furniture. XD

I hate moving. I just moved a couple of weeks ago. The key is to not have much stuff. lol I got rid of almost everything I own and was able to pack everything in my Ford Explorer. It was so much easier.

Packing and moving is really annoying.. I hope that I won't have to move anytime soon. You start to see how much stuff you have when it comes to packing. I never thought that I'm going to need so many moving boxes when I was moving from my small flat with only one living/sleeping room, kitchen and bathroom. It's indeed better to own only a few necessary thing but man.. I'm terrible if I get out in town.. I always end up buying useless stuff because it's cute or something like that :qf: it got better the last few years but still.. so much useless stuff left which I simply don't want to throw away xD
