Tamaki laughed a bit. "I suppose I don't mean bad as really bad, but I won't know what to do if I'm so smitten with you. Will I even be able to still flirt with the girls?" He was Tamaki, so maybe, but he'd never been in love like this either.

Malik shook his head but followed after Ahrima, keeping far enough back that he always had an escape route, but would still easily be able to keep the other in his sight. "How perfectly reasonable of you. Just doing the right thing, huh?" he muttered under his breath as they exited the alley.

Almost immediately, the tension rose back in his lean frame. Malik replaced his hood, giving the street a few suspicious looks. Thankfully, it appeared that they drew no undue attention, though the prickly feeling remained along his arms. Because of it, he almost missed the last thing Ahrima said to him. He paused, eyes narrowing once again, considering he hadn't been listening to the annoying repetitions of choosing the 'right side.' Ahrima would be sorely mistaken when he learned this was a mission of no real moral consequence to himself.

"My name?" Malik repeated. He supposed that he should give it for the sake of ease. He bore no reputation himself, only that of the organization he worked for. He didn't plan to get a reputation either that would make giving his name now strange. So, after a shrug, he closed the distance between them so he could walk abreast, leaving a few solid inches between their shoulders. "You can call me Malik. The rest of the things you want to know might not be dinner talk, however. I'm not the only pair of ears that listens from the shadows in this town." He found himself looking for another comfortable alley but shrugged off the thought.

"Do you have a room at the inn?"
