88888u post on here as you're giving birth so we can be there 8D /jk
I remember when my bestie had her first baby, she messaged me saying she was on her way to the hospital.
About 20 or 30 minutes later, she texted me "He's out here he is!"
I was like wtf .__.
I heard it takes a while to give birth xD

@jacob: Ooh, if you've been having them for about 24 hours then he could be really soon. My sister has had first cramps around that time and then they became more frequent, more regular and more painful.
I cross my fingers for you! :qh: :qh: :qh:

@Moi: I think length of labour depends on how you measure the time. If we're counting the first cramps, even irregular, it might even be like my grandma used to say "I was giving birth to your mom for 48 hours straight!" XD The pushing is in the very last stage of labour and it takes a while to get to that, so usually the medical staff tells people to wait until the contractions get regular and very frequent before they go to the hospital.
I'm not sure how long the pushing can take but even 20 or 30 minutes sounds like a whole lot of time for that kind of work. I saw videos of my sister just moments after my nephew was already out and she was exhausted. Then her husband asked her if she's happy and she said "Idk, I'm still in shock" XD

According to the classes we've been doing, it's most likely to be in labour for several days haha. But there can be people who give birth in like 30 minutes straight and also even people who take a week or longer. I'm hoping for something reasonable like 12 hours or so XD Don't wanna be greedy, just something that seems easy enough compared to the alternative XD

They kind of stopped in the afternoon, then came on a little bit milder in the evening again, and then I was fine overnight. And this morning I've started to have a few more mild ones again. I don't know what's happening XD I can't bear it if he doesn't come before his due date rofl, it will be another two weeks of this XD

Haha, just don't be like my sister: "The doctor said he might come sooner!"
Two days before due date: "He's taking his time. They already offered to book a room in the hospital for inducing the labor, but I'd rather wait and give him a week after the due date and then we'll book".
On the due date: "Omgwhyisn'thehereyetwhatifsomething'swrongI'mworried"
Me: Bitch, you didn't even wait a day after the due date and you wanted to wait a whole week, wtf, calm down xD

Seriously, just have patience, it's all worth the wait :mccute:

I saw a meme which said "every month in the calendar has 30 or 31 days, except for the last month of pregnancy which has 1453 days" and it felt so accurate XD Everything is so hard to do, even getting up or walking to the bathroom, but you also need to walk to the bathroom 700 times a day and night, you can't sleep and when you do it's not for long, you're constantly paranoid about symptoms, the baby movements get so painful/tense against your stomach because there's no room left in there, all the worst symptoms from the whole pregnancy come back in style, you have this nesting instinct telling you constantly to get ready for the baby... XD It's no wonder we are impatient haha.

I can't remember how long it took for my mom to have me. I also can't remember how long it took my mom to have my sister. For my sister, she had to have a C-section.
I'm not sure which makes me cringe more - regular birth or C-section uB

Well, I've only done the regular birth, and that just once. Let's just say I'm glad I had an epidural.

To be honest, childbirth has always terrified me.
It seems so scary and so painful and even the epidural freaks me out.
So do spinal taps xD

My bestie said she was going to do natural childbirth.
I kind of laughed and said "Okay if that's what you want xD"
She told me at the hospital when they gave her the epidural.
I said "I thought you were going to do natural 8u" and she said "I changed my mind xD"

I think it's amazing what women are willing to go through to have kids.
Moms go through pain and sickness just to have their kids.
It's really neat 8u

Haha, I am trying for a natural birth too XD We'll see if I change my mind XD I am kind of scared of the epidural too though, I don't want to have a tube in my back. I have enough back problems already. I am quite used to being in pain thanks to my fibro, and I've also had kidney stones which people say is about the same level of pain as childbirth. I can believe it from here because those kidney stones were hella painful :'D but this is another thing we'll find out if it's really true or not haha.

My mother had a c-section with me. I think it didn't take very long at all as she was rushed in for an emergency, rather than going into labour. So this is all new territory in that sense, no real way to predict how my body will react. I definitely prefer the idea of a natural birth after doing an antenatal class on c-sections. The thought of FEELING them cutting you open and pulling a baby out, even if it's just the pressure and not the full pain... and it takes SO long, I always thought it was just a quick cut and you're out but it's so many cuts through so many layers until they get to the baby... eeeesh. I'll rather do it the way I evolved to be able to do it, thanks :'D

(watch how after saying all this I now end up going into hospital, begging for an epidural, and somehow winding up with a c-section anyway XD I hope not but at least it would be kind of funny)

My sister was considering epidural, but in the end she decided not to take it. She went all natural. They had to do a little cut to help the baby out and that was her biggest fear with labour but she seems to be okay with it now.
I just talked with my mom for an hour and apparently my sister told her that after all that experience with labour, with how she was so afraid of the pain before, she now can definitely say that tooth pain is much worse than labour xD
Then again, her periods were always intense (even more than mine, it runs in the family), so maybe that prepared her, idk.
