Watashi no namae wa Akira desu. Douzo yoroshiku. edit: (but you can call me whatever you want, Koko, Kokoro etc. is fine. My friends in RL call me Gari.)
Experience: I'm learning at school, I'm in year 9.
I want to learn Japanese because the culture is beautiful and I wish to travel there in the future.

oh, and I agree with Yuuko. The storyline in the manga is just so beautiful.
Furuba was the first manga that I read, and it got me completely hooked!

I've only read one volume of Furuba, but I've seen all of the anime. It's alright, but too shoujo for my tastes. I'm more into shounen action anime.

@ Mikael- the story line is a little too girly for my tastes, and the art isn't exactly to my tastes either... but I think it's a good manga to start with.

The wording in Fruit Basket sometimes is kinda cheesy. ._. I don't like that part of it. And the art is so different by the end of the series. I liked it towards the middle.

My first manga was Ranma 1/2. :D
