I try not to be; I don't much care for snobs. >__>; I don't care how much talent a person has; I never think it makes for a reason to be a jerk to other people. That's why when I decline RPs, I try to be kind or at least respectful the the other player about it. :X
I'm one of those people who know things in theory but still need practice in application. XD
Aha; I'm quite the opposite; when I first began, I would role-play with nearly anyone, and then there was a time when I was a moderator of an RP forum and I /did/ role-play with everyone. It was a multi-cultural forum (meaning we got people from all over), so I learned to be lenient because some people were ESL (English second language).
My main fear of group RPs now is the lack of skill among members... I guess that and the time issue is why I've avoided it so much. I might get back into RPing this week, though; my partner is free and I'm taking my midterm right now (yay, take-home exams!) so we will be able to role-play as early as tonight or tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to it, though I also feel nervous, as I haven't written anything in a while. DX The sample post on the front page was the last one I've made.
I love long-term RPs. X3 I love lengthy ones too --I had one story that was hundreds of pages (and was mostly written by just my partner and I). It was a lovely time for me. X3
Even if something is common, I don't think it's bad. I actually like taking the ordinary and twisting it into something extraordinary. <3 I guess that's where my respect for Diana Wynne Jones comes in --she takes a plain old hatter girl and whisks some magic into her to make her into a fantastic character. <3 I'm talking about Howl's Moving Castle, btw. XD; Sophie seemed to always be thinking that she was so ordinary, but she was steady in her own way. She's one of the few female characters that I liked. X3
She can't use your character in a comic if you don't want her to. O__o I mean, you have to respect other people's wishes, ne?
I love fauns. X3 I don't know, I just adore their little horns and goaty little legs --they seem adorable to me. If anyone was to blame, though, you could blame Donna Jo Napoli for her short novel, The Great God Pan. I read that book when I was younger and have been a fan of fauns since. XD In total I have 3 faun OCs (well, the main ones, anyways.) I might not draw them though; I've tried to draw fauns before, but I'm afraid their anatomy confuses me. I also can't draw animals well for the same reason. DX
Ismare also has curly hair, which is very difficult for me, and he's supposed to have a sort of "ageless" look to him. It's complicated.
I was a mod in three places, though two of those three were affiliated, I guess. XD I frickin' built the second one from the ground up, if you'll believe me. Didn't care much for the admin of that one, though. >__>;
Warning levels vary from forum to forum, but for KofK, I wouldn't worry so much. I mean, even Starkad has received a warning before, and I'm sure I have too. As long as you don't do anything extreme (like those auto-click things) and you try to follow the rules, you probably won't get banned here. Warnings generally disappear if you've been good for a year, I think.
