I'm going to be a dork and address her like this, but Miyamoto-sensei is a fantastic BL mangka; she's also one of the few people (few meaning I can count them on my fingers) that I absolutely idolize and adore. <3

She writes stories about ordinary guys and their lives, I suppose. XD; I like the tone of her stories and her frickin' crazy art skills. I think the fact that she doesn't stereotype characters with the whole dominant/submissive thing was the first bit that drew me in, and then her stories seem to pile on just the right bit of drama to keep me going, and she writes backwards and forwards about her characters, which is something that I also do, so I ended up being a hardcore fan. The part that leaves me in awe, however, is the way each of her OCs (at least the main ones) seem to have a unique face without seeming so unique at all. You can tell this because despite the fact that their hair changes as the stories move backwards and forwards in time, they still look like themselves --this is because of the way she draws the eyes and eyebrows. When I discovered that, I was so amazed --never ever saw that in a manga artist before. BAM. She struck me with an arrow and I have been in love with her stories ever since.


I don't think being passive-aggressive is going to work, Alice; I don't understand why so many women think it would. No offense to anyone, but you've just gotta assume that people are a little dense when they like someone and be straight-forward with them.

Er, not that I'm the type of person that you should take love advice from, but I have another friend who comes up to me and are like, "Mikael, I don't understand why guys keep hitting on me and I don't want them to!" Then I have to get like, "Dude, you have to say NO." and then she was like, "But I don't want to be mean. D:" and then I was like, "D< Be mean or be hit on; men are just like that."

And then we put that story of rejection in our mental journals so we can shake our heads about it later. Yet that problem is going to reoccur because she doesn't do a thing to stop it. *headfloor*

I'm not sure you'd notice if you weren't familiar with her art style, actually; as I've said, they have a unique look to them while seeming very ordinary at the same time. When I first started out, I even had a hard time telling who was who (though I don't make mistakes like that anymore).

This is all one character (except for that tan blond). I liked Tooru a lot, but man, is he ever a frustrating guy to deal with. I would strangle him if he were real, mostly because he gets himself into such messes. DX
