This is great! I'm really enjoying looking at all the entries and voting. But, I could really use a feature that would allow us to limit the group to avatars we still have to vote on. Paging through existing entries takes too long. A way to sort the avatars that we've already voted on by score so we can see the leaders would be nice too.

My net died while I was voting, and after I connected I was able to vote again on avatars that I had already voted on (I didn't, but it gave me the option when I was scrolling through and an avi I had voted for earlier came up). Some sort of glitch? I don't think something like that would be intentional o.O

I'm curious, what if someone enters and 2 or 3 of their avatars are in the first, second, and third place spot? Do they get more than one medal or does the fourth place, fifth place and so on get a medal as long as the first person only gets one?

Also there is a typo on the Avatar Contest page:
The 3 users with the best ratings are rewared with the Official Avatar Contest medal.

I'm a little confused... on other people's avatars it says "Score: 15" or whatever the number happens to be. When I look at one of mine it says "Score: 2.20 / 141". Why are they formatted differently and what does each score mean?
Sorry if this is obvious and I'm just missing it... it's been a rather long day. @_@

I think the first number is your score out of 5 and the second number is how many votes you've gotten. When there is only one number I think that's because they haven't gotten enough votes to have a visible score yet. :x

I'm also wondering this as well.

Thanks for the notice, Firn. I think it's a bit tedious to click through all the entries, but I respect that you're working hard to try to improve the system as you can. However, I feel as if the first maybe ten or so people who enter would have an advantage, because people who don't keep up with the new entries will probably only through the first few.

I think it would be more effective to have pages that show twenty avatars or at a time, and if you want to vote for a particular one, you click on the avatar and it send you to the avatar's page where you can vote for it.

This is just an opinion, and meant well, so I hope you don't mind. Like I said, the efforts you and Starkad make for this site is wonderful.

So everyone will have time to vote for the latest until the oldest avatars.

Because from what I see, newer avatar will get higher score because only a few people vote them.
And older avatar's average vote will go down little by little because a lot of people vote them.

it's just my personal opinion.

The number of votes you get doesn't have anything to do with your rating though.

But then you are assuming that all of the users just go through the entries on the first day of the month, which I don't think is the case.

Hm, you're right. Actually, I was just thinking that no matter what day I decide to vote, I would probably want to start voting for avatars from the beginning, then get lazy and quit part way. XD; But not everyone things like me, so yeah, it probably isn't the case. *headfloor*
