Hey guys!
We are back with another official contest, the Official "Design An Item Contest"
I will try to keep this as short as possible so no one misses out on important information:
When does it start?
Today, September 17th
When does it end?
In a month, October 17th
What is it about?
Design an item for KOfK's avatars. It does not matter what kind of item, everything goes, shirts,frames, earrings, pets, etc.
The only exceptions are body parts: No mouths, eyes, hair, skins. Everything else is fine (tails, wings, etc.).
How does it work?
1. Use the following bases to draw your items on:
Please draw both a male and a female version of your item if you draw gender-specific items like shirts. One base is enough for non-gender specific items.
For traditional media you can print out the bases and draw on them, or even trace them on a separate paper.
However, the finished image you submit must have exactly the same size: 318px × 353px. Entries not having this size will be disqualified!
2. All submissions must be sent via PM to the following account: KOfK Art Contest:
Remember that if you post your submission somewhere public, you lose every right to complain about other contestants possibly copying your ideas.
Only entries sent to the KOfK Art Contest Account till the deadline will take part in the contest!
Each user is allowed to submit up to 3 entries only! Cheating attempts with mules will lead to disqualification.
Please do not submit entries with multiple items on them! Images containing more than one image will have to be disqualified!
What's to win?
Since Halloween is drawing near, the winners will get sets of our rare very first Halloween Event items:
1. Prize:
Both a Red and Black Devil Costume set.
2. Prize:
A Blue Pirate Costume set.
3. Prize:
A Red Pirate Costume set.
In addition to this, all 3 winner's items will be made into real wearable items and put up into one of Kingdom Of Knuffel's shops!
How will the winners be picked?
The winners will be picked in an anonymous user voting!
Anything else to consider?
1. Yes, please: Whenever you create an item, please try to keep in mind how the layers for your items might work, or not work. Some items simply can't work, because they over-layer or interfere with other items in some weird way. Before you start creating an items, try to imagine in what layer it might end up, and which items might go over or behind it. Many items, like for example hats, are extremely trick to create without having part of the hair stuck out above the hat and things like this. Please try to keep such things in mind. If you create an "impossible" item, I won't be able to turn it into a real wearable item.
2. For this contest only the winners will get a prize, there won't be any items given out just for participating like on previous contest. We want people to have fun, but still take some effort into this and not just submit 3-minute scribbles to get an item. Thank you for understanding.

PLEASE please please read the first post!
I have gone through the first bunch on entries and 90% did not meet the contest criteria!
This contest does not have a lot of requirements, but you absolutely MUST follow the few ones it has:
- Draw on the base provided in the first post
- Draw a female and male version for tops which must have a different version for male and female bases.
This includes actually drawing a male and female version! Don't just paste a male shirt without a female chest on a male base or the other way around! It does not work like this!
If you draw an item like a shirt and you do not provide it on a male and female base your entry will be disqualified!
- Submit one item on the base per entry only. I cannot have users vote on a single item when the image provided has multiple items on it!
- Submit working files!! All imaged need an image file ending like .jpg, .gif, .png. Etc. If you send me a file that isn't an image I cannot see it!
- Don't draw eyes, skins, mouths or hair.
- Entries must be 318px × 353px in size. (The size of the base posted above)
This is frustrating, please read the first post, all your good ideas are going to waste!
So far I have replied to every PM with an entry that did not meet the requirements for the contest, but if it goes on like this, I will have to silently ignore the entries, so please read the first post, especially the part about any kind of tops because they need a different version for male and female bases!
