Firn, I was wondering. For those of us who aren't really art inclined but would like to give this a good shot would it be possible to maybe post a some kind of art guide or maybe some good links to help us get started so that we could get our art at least somewhat similar to the rest of the Knuffels.

I know something like that would be a lot of work but maybe it's something you would conciser at some point.

Oh and one other thing if we did come up with something really rough (or just not too good) would we be allowed to pass it off to someone who could polish it up so that we could then submit it, or would that then be considered not our work?

All you need to know are basic rules of drawing chibi/sd and using graphics programs. Art discussion forum is a good place to ask for help with it, but honestly there are tons of tutorials of drawing manga chibis on internets.

Edit:
Then, can they be watermarked?
Can they be pixel art?
Can they be promoting other sites/products by wearing items with logos or such?

How about horror knuffel or nudity? Or a knuffel with chopped off limbs?

Question:

Does it matter in what 'position' the knuffel is in?
Like from the back or from the site? Or does it have to be design straight from the front? Example: http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o280/crownsofpaper/BUTTONS/Trisphe_Chibi_Silver2.png
Or possible like they could sit on something in all stages?
I'd like to know how far I can go, basically. Before I'll design my own bases.

Silver, no, it does not matter at all.
Just make sure that the Knuffel still fills out the whole image somewhat proportionally.

My marges will be 20 pixels top and bottom like your original picture, so that'll be fine.

According to Deja's profile, wild Knuffel do not show up on one's profile. Was this one purpose?

I think the same amount as the new level of your Knuffel, since the normal Knuffel gives you twice the amount and the Wild ones only give you half of what the normal Knuffel give you, I believe.
