Well I'm still working on getting into flight academy and stuff. After finally passing all the tests, the bank doesn't want to give me a loan, so up to now it's all been for nothing xD
I've been advised to get a job now, preferably on Schiphol, to gather at least a part of the money myself. That way banks will be more willing to give me a loan for the rest of the money. The sum should be 120k, and the banks want to see at least a third of the money they are gonna loan, so I should gather 30k myself so I can get a loan on the other 90k. Which really sucks since the 4k I already have was meant as a start to take care of myself once I'm going to live there.
Getting a job in these times is not easy though, and on Schiphol there's barely anything available, especially with my diploma and level and stuff. The only thing I could apply for was a job at airport security, but even though the more I think about it, the more fun it seems, they'll probably laugh at me if I even get an interview because I'm just an insecure little girl.
And even if I'd get the job it'd take me 3 years before I could gather that.
So it seems that there won't be a pilot Merry around for a while. >>
My mom did get me some appointments for test flights and all, I'm really looking forward to that! :D
So at the moment I'm kind of impatiently waiting for a response on the airport security thing and such. And even more impatient for an even more exciting event - I saw a magpie for sale on the internet and offered on it, and both my parents even agreed! Now I really want that guy to reply, 'cause I've got a serious chance of finally getting my dream pet :D
Oh, and in the mean time I've got the exams of my current education running, but that's the least of my concerns. xD
The rollercoaster thing isn't bad all the time, it's just so tiresome and frustrating at points. But I know that eventually I'm gonna get there. It's gonna take money, a whole lot of money, and time, a whole lotta time (
) but I'm gonna get where I want to be. Eventually. :D
