Katakana. Kana is the term for them both together. If that makes sense.
And Katakana is the word for the alphabet that they use for writing foreign words.
It is a word.
And Hangul is about 6x harder to read than Kana.
Kana, they all make the same sound, all the time.
And Hangul, the symbols are all the same, but they change depending
on different parts of the word.
But with Kana . . . it's . . . that symbol makes THAT noise. All the time.
Which makes it easier to read.
