I'll try Firn. "mchappy"

@Kitten
With the size of the knuffel you are making you are not leaving enough of a margin for the image. In the rules that Firn has posted you have to leave spacing around all edges for the knuffel, much like the border of a picture frame. This is kind of a buffer or a guide so that the knuffel fits much more nicely in the image space and so that it looks nicer on the site.

Your Knuffel must fill out the 300 x 377 pixel proportionally!

You're knuffel right now is much like the bottom right image, just the head actually goes up to the correct placement location, but the feet are too close to the edge. (and if you cannot see it, there is an 'X' in that box marking it as the wrong kind of submission). I would take up Firns suggestion in changing the pose so that it fits better in the image, or make her more chibi, you're choice.

Hey, I have some questions concerning a Knuffel that was denied ages ago, Waldo. A lot of people seem to like him anyway so I want to fix him soon. However, before I start doing so, I want to be sure what it is exactly that makes him inappropriate as a Knuffel.
[Stage 1] [Stage 2] [Stage 3] [Stage 4] [Stage 5]

One of the problems is the moving needle I guess, so I'll take that out. Other than that the change in the stages is not enough. So I'm aware of these problems.
Is there anything more, like, the whole concept? Because he's not a living thing or something, he's a plushie that gets fixed. Is this considered not an evolution and should I practically start over again?

Please, I'm not asking for any advice like "You should add this or that", I just want to know what I should change exactly, what makes it a wrong Knuffel.

The problem for me was that he has no evolution in most stages, mostly 1-3 stages. Stage 4/5 seem okay to me. "Fixing" him up is a neat idea, but it has to be paired with some kind of evolution in order to be accepted as Knuffel, because that is the concept of Knuffel.

Like, for example, his button eye gets "fixed", which means it is moving from one place to another, but it is actually zero evolution. It is something that has already been there, that just got replaced and I never count these things as evolutions (not meaning you are not allowed to do such things, just that they don't count as evolution and your Knuffel needs at least 3 major real changes in addition to such things.). So, as long as he really has several significant evolutionary changes per stage (and not just shifting something from one place to another), I don't have any problem with the idea.

Hmmokay, thank you. I really liked the idea of his eye so I'll see if I can do some other stuff like changing his skin color - starting out with a 'sunbleached' one for example. Thanks for the info!

Yay! I'll start working on her again, now! X3 <3

I'm glad I finally understood, and I'm sorry
I made the process so hectic for you as well, Firn.

I can't wait to present my first finished Knuffel! <3

I'll just quote this.

Her Ugliness wrote:...the Knuffel also needs to be colored, in all stages. There is nothing wrong with white hair, white skin, etc, but even white has shades, and you only have a completely white all-consuming solid white texture, which is not "colored".

3. Artistic Standards

Your Wild Knuffel must follow some basic artistic standards
→ It has to consist of colored, filled areas, on a clean transparent background.
→ You cannot submit scribbles
→ You cannot submit sketches
→ You cannot submit uncolored Knuffel
→ You cannot submit Knuffel in a sketchy drawing- or coloring style
