Dont ever let someone blame you for another's suicide. Most people who feel the need to do such things, will do it no matter what happens. Itll just come in time.
From the little I read it seems he was maybe transgendered or feeling unhappy in his own skin. So if I were youd Id have broken it off also, at least until he understood who he was.
Even if you do try and help a lot of the time its not enough. Suicide is one of those things that I find very selfish, his poor sister must be devastated. But still, no reason to ever let them blame you. After two months he should have been over you, and if he wasnt, then that is his own issue, not yours.
~ Also, I think its silly to carry a tazer or pepper spray and such. If your that paranoid about those things then just dont go outside at night. When I do I always am with a friend or something if its in bad parts of town. And if they ever get close talk really loud and such, if you are assertive usually those kinds of guys back off. From what my mom has seen over the years of living in many areas, its the girls who are quiet and worried and dont give them eye contact that are easier to get.
Most of those creepy guys want it easy. Its like people downtown who steal purses. If your holding it tight and give people eye contact, they will see that you are ready and will put up a fight and likely back off.
Idk if that made any sense lol. But I wouldnt give my kid those things, it would likely make them more paranoid. And people are paranoid and worried enough. Just be on guard and dont go alone :]
But I guess this is just my  on the topics. I know a lot of people see it diff, I just thought maybe some of it could help someone xD

Well, for me I am still considered a target since I am still a young girl (although any-age girls are still targets). However I used to live in Miami and most of the times never gone out at night, even mornings w/o anyone. But since now I'm living in Taiwan where people are different. And now where my parents think I'm old enough to take care of myself, I'm always on the edge of something might happen to me. But that's just me though...I am the one who started this topic anyway ^^;

Yeah I guess so. I just hear more about people in the city being taken. Usually by homeless guys and stuff because a lot of them are mentally unstable xD But Im not one to hang out on deserted highways at night lol, so I guess if you do then be careful.
Im not saying its bad to have those things, but if your that paranoid about being kidnapped, then just dont go out. Like lately here people who leave their doors unlocked get robbed. So I just keep my doors locked. I think the news makes a lot of people worry too much. Yeah those things happen, so be cautious...but worrying all the time doesnt seem healthy D: After all, no matter where you are in the world there are bad people and issues.
I get ya! Im not saying dont be wary xD I just see a lot of people so freaked out about people they dont know and all these days. Its bad enough with the news about how everyone is going to get cancer from this or that, I just try and stay as positive as I can.
But I also have no idea how taiwan is lol. Maybe just tell your parents about the guy and say your worried. Even if they think your old enough to take care of yourself they should still care about your worries :] I know that even thou Im almost 20, if i tell my parents I feel uncomfortable in a situation they will totally back me up.

I did tell them...basically what they told me did nothing to help me. >.>

And besides all the news there are on Taiwan are car/motorcycle crashes, brake ins, people getting pissed off and wrecking havoc....all in all, most Taiwan news are the same :/
