Aww, yeah I heard there was a group that runs like several sites and they're all kinda... meh. I think the guy who was supposed to code for the one I was working on worked for them. Or something. I really don't know, lol.

I suck at any kind of coding. I can barely manage to get things like hangouts and stuff to look the way they do. @A@

Yeah I'm glad it didn't work out for me. Cause I've improved a lot since then and I hate inconsistency too when it comes to things like that. XD it'd be weird seeing old crappy looking items having huge value over ones with much better art. I think I would like to do art for a site some time tho. Seems like something I'd have fun with. ^^;

Yeah, I've been doing commissions for 'fake' money for like 3 years straight now. I'm pooped, lol. I'm finishing up what I owe and if I feel like selling something later on it'll likely be auctioned off.

Really? Huh... This site is usually too slow paced for me.. Perhaps I'm just too used to Gaia.. I've been on there 6 years. And yeah, it's soooo true. There's an artist I LOVE on gaia who charges like 4mil for a pic. easy. @.@ I'd really love to commission him someday... or learn to make art like him...

Same here, I've just not done them very consecutively. Whenever I really start to do online commissions something always comes up, or I take so long to get to someone's request that I ask "Do you still want that art?" and they don't reply.. Makes me feel bad, but I keep going. lol. I figure it's good practice.

I can't for the life of me cell shade. XP I've always appreciated how life-like simple vibrant shading can really be. It adds a touch of beauty to things. The way I see it, things are prettiest when simple and clean, or if they're so detailed that they look real. The awkward in-between styles are hard to make look good.. >< Unfortunately I'm a perfectionist and tend to do that with my art.

I think I'd like to help running a site, but I never seem to have enough time to do things like that correct, so I never apply...

I was using vibrant to describe how Raine's is.. it's not really a particular type of shading or anything. Just, the nice contrast, pretty colors, how they really stand out and look appealing. That sort of thing; when the coloring on art is vibrant. ^^

@ Sellesion- I was on there for a few years. Then it just got to be too much. @A@ I like things a bit slower, lol.

I feel like I'm in that awkward-in-between. My style isn't really cell shading, but it's not really detailed either. It's like... lazy persons cell shading, lol.

@ Vineda- I couldn't run a site. But creating items sounds like fun. I'm sure it'd get tiresome after awhile tho. =\ I think I'm probably best suited for laid back commissions and the sort. ^^;

@ Floofy- I hate when sites get money hungry. There's a difference between needing the money, and completely neglecting users that have no money to donate. I kinda left gaia cause I felt like they were updating the cash shop all the time and rarely did anything for people who couldn't donate. It came to the point that I bought gaia cards just to feel like i could even partially keep up. i gave up shortly after. =\
Maybe... The one I was working on was making me a head artist. And Xaki's style is pretty similar to mine, so it wasn't much of a stretch. XD

Yeps. That's why I left, too. I loved the Evolving Items when they first came out. I thought it was cool. But then...they were just throwing those things out like crazy and I couldn't keep up at all and I was like 'Uh yea...I see how you're going to be. O8 See ya!' I donated like...once because I owed people a MT but that's about all the money I gave to them. :T I didn't have any cash as a kid and my mother would NEVER buy anything from any site I used. -Always begged for a premium account on RuneScape >.> -

and yup, I know what you mean, I know somebody who studied computer programming as well... When the sites didn't work for me, I asked him for help, but he was so used to programming, he had a great deal of trouble explaining to me without the terms, he eventually got too busy once he found work so he had to stop teaching me...

Raine: I know what you mean, I just couldn't follow anymore on Gaia since I can't donate, and I couldn't buy Gaia cards either (they don't sell them here...) so I left the site...
And laid back commissions are better than rushed ones...

So am I. XP.. I take hours on some of the simplest things.. lol. I took like, maybe 6 weeks on a self portrait a couple months ago.. although.. it is like, life sized and with real paint.. Many people were so far ahead of me on theirs for a while. >< (It was in my painting class for school)

Personally, I think part of my issue comes from my ability to draw realism.. I find realism much much easier than anime and such. So trying to do anime like styles is a challenge for me because of how simplified yet specific it can be.
