I have no idea, but that seems to be how also bird shelters seem to do it... And Sully did very well on it so I won't ever use anything else I guess xD

Depends if the bird is big enough to chop pieces from it himself... Or if he's lazy like Sully. I handfed him like a chick, so he swallowed it whole.

Meow mix? Never heard of it. But yeah, any general cat kibble should do. I've bought different kibble than what my cats eat though, but that's because the cats eat senior food.
