Yeah...unfortunately. They think it was gang related. :/
Thankfully, guns are illegal in Canada without a license. You can get arrested just for owning one without one.
My uncle had a few rifles in the back of his car, and had no licenses on him, so he was in jail for a few days. xD;;
That's scary... :/

Mmm, my boyfriend can play guitar well, but he sees it as a hobby, not something he can make a living off of.
He was going to join the Navy and get chef training there, but it's easier to just keep him out of dangers way if we both just go to Peterborough and take the same class. It's not that expensive, and it's only a one year class.

People are supposed to have licenses here as well for guns. A lot of times the kid's parents will have the guns and they'll take them and run off going crazy with them. It was a bit scary. Everyone made it seem like it was pretty close by but I'm not sure the location they were at. :T

My boyfriend's looking to start a small band, I think. He's been trying to gather some friends up and start one so I think he's planning on doing some small gigs or something. That doesn't sound bad at all. We have a cooking school or two around but they're crazy expensive to get into.

It's been alright. ^-^ Just sitting around listening to the rain and working on some more knitting. How about your's? :)

Neither have I...only thing I get is if it's a rough neighbourhood and you need someone to have your back.
Or in those cases, lots of people... but gang wars are just stupid and senseless.

Yeesh. You should look into it? Ask someone who might know more, like a cop or something. If they don't scare you. xD
The cops in my town are a bit intimidating, but Wiggerson is friendly with me.
Ironically, his wife is a cop, too, and she's scarier than him.
My boyfriend and I like to go for walks at 1 or 2 a.m. He'll always be on patrol, and pull up to see who's walking.
When he sees it's us, he goes ''oh, it's you two''. And we'll chat it up for a few minutes.
Police cars give off a LOT of heat when you're standing in front of one. DDDx

I wish him luck! It can be hard getting a band off the ground. I tried being in a band yeeeeeears ago as the singer, and it went down the drain. It takes a lot of commitment and teamwork to keep one going.
Yeah, it's only about 4k. It's 2 semesters, and each semester is 2k.
We have OSAP to pay for our tuition, so it's not that bad, and you can pay it off once you get a stable, well-paying job.
This is the course.
Only problem I might have, is being so far from home. Peterborough is further than Toronto, and Toronto is about a 5 hour drive away.
So yeah. It's about 6 or 7 hours away from here...and I'm pretty close with my family.

Mine has been good. Got up early, thinking I had to help decorate for a Luau tomorrow, only to find out I didn't have to because Jane thought it was suppose to rain today. So I'm sleepy, but good. My boyfriend is dropping by again in half an hour. He had to leave 4 hours ago to do some things. Dx I miss him...
Other than that, I've just been listening to some Steam Powered Giraffe. (/points at signature)
Aaaand sketching out potential commissions, so I have a pose down if they hire me.

Aw, that's nice you have a friendly cop or two around. Boyfriend used to be friends with a couple up north before he moved here. They used to come in the gas station he worked at and he would sometimes ask them to stick around for a bit when some shady characters would be lurking around. @-@ Oh gosh, cars in general will give off a good bit of heat when standing too near them. We had to walk in ridiculous heat down town to get back to our car and some cars that were parked on the side of the road were taking off and it was HORRIBLE with the added heat of the weather. T.T

Yea, he thought he had one friend guaranteed to be bass player, but the guy is a bit older than us and has two children from his previous marriage so he hardly ever met up with him when they planned to hang out. :S I told him not to be too upset with him, though, because when you have kids you can't always drop what you're doing to go have fun. The kids have to come first. /:

Wow that sounds pretty reasonable. o.O I'm not really sure how much an average tuition runs around here so I can't really compare but it really doesn't sound bad at all. Aw, yea that sounds like it would be pretty rough to be so far away from family. :T Someone needs to invent teleporters already. >.< Boyfriend misses his fam up North and I miss my friend down South but it's pretty far to visit either of them. /:

There was a shooting in a Colorado (I think) Theatre durring a showing of the new Batman movie, and 12 are confirmed dead. :[
