Actually... I think it is a nice idea but then there should be an option that you can also make it so people don't see you online. Like an 'Show online only to friends' or 'Show offline everyone' or something like that... Just my input in it xD

People who don't have you on friendlist can't see if you're online and there is an option of hiding your online status from everyone in account settings.

I like that idea. I hate having to add people to friend just to see if they are online. So I would love the whole online/offline button in fourm. If people think it bad or dangerous than they can have an option to show only to friend or no one at all. This is most useful for people dropping knuffel since it such a pain to make a plan when to meet and such.

First of all I would like to say that I am strongly against this idea. This is just my personal reception of this issue though. Personally I would hate for others to see whether I am online or not. It has a stalk-like feel to it and you can already see who is online and who not if this person is one of your friends. I don't think you need to know these things about strangers.FlowerRuby wrote:This is most useful for people dropping knuffel since it such a pain to make a plan when to meet and such.
Sadly even making the who is online list public would not help at all. phpBB offers such an option, though you can manually set to how "up to date" this list is. The more up to date it is (= the more often the server has to update this list, going through all 10915 users to check who is online), the bigger the burden is on the servers. As our servers are already overloaded and we cannot change that, even if such a list was made public, we would probably not be able to make it more accurate than maybe 30 minutes (meaning that if someone is shown as online you it could also mean the person logged off 30 minutes ago already) And even that might mean causing lags every 30 minutes.
So, even if we had such an option, it would be highly inaccurate and not really help much at all.

This is just a thought I had- If there is another contest in the future, perhaps rather than giving an item away you could give the winner a knufftropolis knuffel of their choosing.

O.o why? For most users, getting a knuffel isn't particularily hard food-wise. And there is a reason there's only a limited amount of a certain generation of knuffel. Moreover, Firn does put old generation knuffel into KT from time to time, you just gotta be lucky with catching some. And there's the morality that knuffel aren't items or prizes but your pet and that's like winning a dog by drawing a good painting. It's just... I don't like it >.>
And didn't you win a pile of fairy coins in the last big contest and not an item? D: *confused* Aren't fairy coins good enough? D':
