Well if you're ok with attending a con I think you could do alright with selling your art at some. <3 You'd make a decent deal of money, and you'd only have to really talk to the people who asked you questions about your art. You could people watch and stuff from your booth. ^^
Thinking of that, I was considering one day maybe doing that as well, making those cute laminated chibi key-chains that people sell. <3
This next con though I'm gonna be just another attendee. Haha..

Well, I've sold at NDK a few times. It's... pretty hectic there. @A@ and I was in the corner!

But then the people I was selling with screwed me over and I've been reluctant to get a table ever since.

I was thinking about getting a table with a friend next year though. To decimate the people I used to be at a table with... since, no offense to them (ok maybe a little.. I'm still bitter).. but my art is miles ahead of their abilities. >_>
The first year I was with them I sold triple of everyone else combined. (there were like 6 other people).

You shouldn't let those sorts of mean people ruin it for you. I feel like making money off of something you love to do would be any artists dream. Their not worth enough for you to worry about them like that if they'd screw you over.

I'd vote for doing that. <3 Go with a real friend, someone good, and blow them outta the water! lol
That's amazing Raine! If that doesn't show how talented you really are, then I don't know what would. <3 And man, for 6 of them to not even come close to your profit combined, they must really suck. XD
I don't feel I'm as good as you are, but I dont think I'd be THAT far behind. lol...

Well, the corner was the least crowded actually. XD At NDK that artist alley is in a high traffic area. @A@ Have to go through it to get to half the events.

Yeah the friend I'm thinking about going with is really nice. He needs to work on his art a bit though. He's not really drawn much for the past few years. He's not bad.. but for some reason the other people I was with never let him join. But they let this talentless girl join... she made a banner one year... before she put it up we were super busy. And literally right after she hung that monstrosity we had zero business... I was really mad... >:(
But then I had my moment later.. I got to play with Copic markers for the first time and she did too. And she was bragging that 'it's her first time with them, look!' and I was all 'it's mine too! LOOK! *pro*'. >w> She was a jerk of a person so I didn't feel bad.

I wasn't even good back then. I wonder what it would be like now that my art has improved so much. I wish I had something to show from back then. =\

@ Floofy- Aww, you could maybe try getting kind of popular on DA and selling things there? O.o
Or if you mean at a convention I'd suggest making charms out of clay. (like mario mushroom or cute cakes). I sold those for like $15 each and they sold out immediately. XD

What do you mean what sort of art do I do? O.o I'm an anime digital artist, of that... answers it....???? O___O

@ Floofy- oh! If you were to make things for BJD I think you'd do well. A lot of bjd owners attend cons. ^_^ Then you can make doll blankets and stuff, heh
And hats and stuff like that sell well at NDK if they pertain to an anime. Like some people made fruits basket hats of the zodiac. Or hats that were striped like that guy from bleach.
