It is hard to tell for me without actually seeing how it is done. The image you posted above is pretty gross in my opinion already and I would not want something like this as part of this site. But it might look quite different if it was Knuffel-fied, so I cannot tell for sure.
Though I can tell you that the risk of a Knuffel containing gore getting rejected is pretty high. :qf:

aw, that sucks :mccry:

it'd be a lot cuter as a knuffel but not worth making if there's a high risk of rejection.

thank you for the input

my knuffel was recently rejected and I was wondering, I resized her a little bigger but she looks extremely tall now. I was just curious, if the size comparison is still off. Because if I resubmit her, I just want to make sure she's okay. =)

actually I'm not sure if I can resize her. Her proportions are all wacky when I try and then her hair gets too big for frame. =(

Sooo, my knuffel got rejected the second time for the stages being too similar. I just want to know which of the stages look similar so I don't do something in vain, again >.>

Knuffel

If it's the first three stages (again) I'll do something about the eyes (as in stage 1 eyes closed, stage 2 eyes both blue), but I really don't think I can change much more without the changes looking ridiculous, so would that be enough? D:

@Wiltherel The clothes change looks really weird from stage 1-3, I think you'll have to do something about that...

Wiltherel - I think you could make your stage 3 stage 1. The evolution after three are really nice. I think from your final stage, you could take the character farther. Like he gets bigger horns his scarf is bigger and flowy maybe there are like birds around him. Maybe final stage he has some kind of wings. Go crazy with him.
Look at it like this with firn's knuffel:
Yay we have a fairy boy by stage 3! http://i1154.photobucket.com/albums/p52 ... a/A5S3.png
But on stage 5 we have like, a crazy epic awesome all over the place fairy boy! http://i1154.photobucket.com/albums/p52 ... a/A5S5.png
You seem to get so stuck on these characters but just normal character don't leave you with a lot of room to work with, I think thats where your struggling. you seem to be afraid to take the character farther. Yes maybe you want to stick true to the character, but think of it like what if this character was a god or in over drive state. Its like what I did with Drakerin, He becomes Rin, But then he becomes a bahamut.
Keep in mind. if people like the character, They can set it to that stage when they Max it out. This is why I try to make every stage like its own character so that maybe people would want to adopt two.

You also need to remember 3, the golden number, changes. stage 1 and 2 have like two. And it cant be small things like a bracelet or clip.

Luluannabell - I think some of what I said here could help you too. =3

I'm afraid I don't think what you said is that helpful to me :qhehe: It's an insane fox with a jetpack in the fifth stage and it's near impossible to put another stage in after that, so I couldn't start from a later stage...
And it's hard for me to see what changes you see. I made the knuffel, I know exactly which things change, and I see 4 changes between 1&2 >.>

Is it the first three stages or not?
Would this be enough changes?

From stage 1 to 2, I seem mostly two changes. (hair and outfit) The tail is too small to would count. I think your knuffel kind of borders what on the first page of this topic, 3. Artistic Standards. You have a lot of white with some look like scribbles on him. I think you shoudl define what his out fit looks a bit more add some kind of shading and maby define the red and blue lines a bit more.
It made me think of elvis so maybe some of these pics an help inspire.

Meh I thought there would be more lines, but I'm sure you cold make something like that with lines or even both line and bots.
You could even use some other shades of grays to spiff him up.

As a bit of art feedback two. I think on final stage you can bring the tail away from his body a bit so he is not so cluttered looking. =3

>.> those "scribbles" are probably what I think of as shading. Yeah, I can't draw shading any better than those "scribbles" >.> And Firn didn't say anything about Artistic standards in her PM so somehow I really don't think that's it, even if it's on borderline. It was only about the stages being similar.

My question is: Even with the eyes being changed do you still only see two changes? The only other things I could think of to add as another change would be change the skin a little in the first, or shift the tails forward to make the tail in 2 a little more obvious and then make another tail for 5.

And about adding different grey shades: this knuffel sat around for more than half a year. Adding different shades would mean I'd practically have to start again, I'm sure you understand that I really don't want that.

And I honestly have no idea what you meant with line and dots and you thinking there would be more lines. It's supposed to be an insane fox with jetpack, not elvis D:

I keep on messing with other people's drawings at it makes me feel awful.

Wilth> Was he rejected because of not enough changes, or what was the reason? I think you can easly add change between first 3 stages by changing hair like this: http://imgur.com/hf2E4 . Going from short in first stage, adding long bangs at front in second and full lenght hair in 3rd.
