Hence they are near crows. Its hard to see which is a crow and which is not. But, the Jackdaws are smaller and have grey spots.

Diminutive members of the crow family, jackdaws are renowned for their love - and often theft - of bright, shiny objects :qh:

We have a bird here like that. The bower bird. Only they seem to like blue things. I remember coming across a nest when I was walking through the bush path to the beach. It had blue bottle tops and pegs and other totally random things in it's nest. LOL.

My new knuffel is out, it was just a warm up as I haven't done one for a long time and had to get dust of my tablet, also I'd love to post spoilers, but I'm not too happy with her for many reasons, when I resized somehow the quality of the image reduced and is not as crisp.. I donno' .. anyhow all the states are here somewhere (scroll down):

Mood: Hey doc, I'm not feeling well. I've had the tits all day.
A.... magpie? How is it thát hard to see the difference between a jackdaw and a magpie? Do you see any white on him, ML? No? Then it's probably not a magpie now is it >.<"

Jackdaws are smaller than crows, have grey hoods, look way more taken care of (crows always look like a few kids just played a soccer game with them while jackdaws look neat and tidy. Most crows you see have a pretty dull coat, whereas jackdaws have a beautiful shiny one, often a bit blue in sunlight.), they have way smaller bills, and they behave ever so different. Jackdaws are really light hoppers / walkers and move really smooth, while crows just pounce around bluntly xD
Crows are also fighters, they attack each other, other birds, other animals... jackdaws live in peace and just have profit from what crows do to each other without getting their own bills dirty. Somehow crows barely attack jackdaws. xD
That's indeed why you'll often find jackdaws around crows. They're like their body guards. :')

As with magpies, QT, jackdaws don't exactly go for the shiny stuff. They steal absolutely everything that grabs their attention. Pens, essays, toilet paper, toothbrushes, hair, lipsticks, their own feathers, empty plastic bottles, anything they can carry... and even if they can't they'll still try... xD

That bowerbird looks weird though, where do you live, Tam? o.o

@Merry
<<;
I thought the knuffel was a magpie because of the white-ish shirt. I can clearly see the difference between a magpie and a jackdaw after looking one up since I had no idea what one looked like. <<; Honestly, did you only read the last page or something? If you looked at the previous page you would have seen that I mistook the knuffel for being a magpie, not an actually jackdaw for a magpie. :qmeh:

Bowerbirds are Australian, and there are several types. The most well-known is the Satin Bowerbird, which is the one that loves blue stuff.
