I also have a small thought for the market, namely that it might be nice to be able to sell more than one item seperately. Meaning that we could sell sets of 2,3,4... items at once instead of for example having to sell a monthly treasure item by item?
There could be a limit to make sure people don't try to part with loads of items at once but it would be cool, maybe? c;

Any other adoptable site I've been to either starts you off with a default pet or starts you off with the money to buy one.
Firstly, welcome to Kofk! ;P
Secondly, there are a lot more ways than just leveling knuffels or digging to get food.
You can play games (we currently have Memory and Whack a Wuffel), answer polls (can be found all over the forum), post in the pletora of threads and topics, rate art (check the Art gallery under Community) and if you're an artist you can sell your art or make your own wild knuffel! c;
If you're having trouble getting started smoothly though, I suggest you check out all the charities run by some very nice users;
