  • Hello again everyone. I'm in and out myself. ^^; I'll be getting on more frequently from here on out, though.

Anyway, ever since my grandmother had a stroke, my family never gets together either. It doesn't help that my mother is angry at her siblings about how things have been going. I've only seen my aunt once in the past three years and my uncles, none.

Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby.
But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand.'

I'm so sorry about your grandmother.

I understand that situation though...My mom is the youngest of 7 siblings and we only talk to one of them...meanwhile my grandmother refuses to see how her children are treating each other...
On my dads side, talk to my 2 aunts but wish I didn't...they are very rude and backstabbing, and treat my mother horribly(the main reason I am upset).
So basically, out of 9 aunts and uncles(including spouse-16), I talk to 1...

Ugh family situations... :mccry:

  • Thank you. She's still alive, but functioning on a much lower level. My mother is helping to take care of her but my aunt and uncles disappeared and rarely ever visit their own mother. So, that's part of the reason why my mother is so angry with them.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation too. I know my siblings and I butt heads, but I hope it never gets to the point that if we had kids, they wouldn't see us or their cousins. That just sucks.

It bothers me a bit because I do plan on having more than one child, but I have no clue how to deal with sibling situations...I am an only child and the only sibling relationships I have seen are pretty bad...

  • Well, I don't have any kids of my own, so I couldn't give you any advice there. xD I know that my parents did a good job with me and my brothers, though. But when they're younger you only have to worry about the smaller things, like figuring out the rightful ownership to a toy. By the time they come across problems strong enough to break relationships, they tend to be old enough that it's mostly out of your hands anyway. Even if my grandmother was lucid enough to realize what's going on with her kids, I doubt anything she could say would make them behave any differently. They're adults, after all. They'll do what they please.
