Kaelin: how are you today? I hope less sore?

Elaine: are you ok? I'm with red on this. Heat often helps... (unless it's the heat causing it, then cold is advised)

Yeeaahhh ... gave up on using heat. It's too cold outside ... and inside the house. Everything turns cold too fast XP

no cherry pit cushion or hot water bottle? Those usually stay warm for quite a bit

What's a cherry pit cushion? O.o

Nah, they don't last long. It's cold, it's raining, there's a storm ... yeah XP

it's basically a cushion that's filled with cherry pits you can heat in your microwave for about 3 minutes. It holds the warmth really long and gives it off to whichever bodypart you place it on (but it goes deeper than the heat from a normal warm water bottle).
I usually use that for big aches from the changes in season, my period, normal musclepain...
Oh. and when I'm freezing at night...
I love them and it was the first thing I and my sister bought when we went away to college. It's quite a basic necessity for us.
site for info on the first ones that were out, if you find it interesting, I know out here most stores have some in different brands, so you might find one via via where you're at. And the more popular ones come in teddy bears, but are less effective.

I don't know what monggo is, but I'm thinking yes.
It's quite a common practice with lots of global variations to the theme. Out here it only exists in two shapes, boekweit (don't know the english) and cherry pits. I find the cherry pits better for me, cause they're larger and hold onto the heat bettter than the other one....

I searched for the English term for monggo. It's Mung bean XP
My mom put the beans and uncooked rice in a cloth bag then she'd use it for her back O.o

yeah. that's pretty much what my mother uses the cherry pit cushion for when she needs it.

I didn't know rice could work as well...
And I have no clue what a mung bean is even after looking it up... I really live in the middle of nowhere... :mcsweat:
