That certainly does tend to be a problem when getting a two piece outfit. Up until recently I would need to switch out the shirts for a size larger than the pants, but now I wear a 2x for the bottoms and top -awesome dance-

Most places have different sizes for me. At some stores I'm a medium, at others I'm a XXXL... That last one really kills your self esteem for me...

And I wish I could find someone to appreciate me for me (curves and all) sadly most guys go for my friends (they're the fashion ideal here) or consider me only the perfect friend. Some of the guys I've actually had crushes on came to me for help getting together with one of my friends or for advice on the issues they had with their girlfriends (I always feel bad then, but just can't send them away and end up helping them)...
Somehow they all consider me a 'sister' or just a Great Friend or 'one of the guys' simply because I dress less girly (only reason for that is that it doesn't come in my sizes here, when most of my girl friends consider me more girly than they are (especially in my hobbies: plantcare, sewing, knitting and a weakness for cutesy stuff. They always joke I was born in the wrong era))

What really hurt me though was this one day (international day of women) that the boys got flowers for all the girls they knew and thought deserved it (exemplary women they said)... I was the only girl without a flower from their group... One of the girls had gotten three and didn't know how to take care of them. In the end I had to teach her and listen to her apoligize repeatedly to me for not getting one... That day really hurt...

Errisa: most stuff is too tight on my hips, but when I go bigger I usually end up with a dress that's too roomy on the top... I'm glad I learned how to sew so now I can fix little problems and still find some dresses...

Yeah. I know. And I know I'm apparently a good person since I know most of my friends come to me for help since I'm a good listener and just great if somebody needs comfort. It's just that most of the people I meet have this weird attitude of not looking at you as a person once you're a friend. Whereas for me the person I like needs to be a friend cause I can't trust them enough otherwise...

Oh well. I know I'll have someone someday, it's just starting to get to me that my entire family (over 100 people on both sides, so no pressure there ) keeps giving me these pitying glances at every gathering and keeps asking me the same question. Especially considering that I'm the oldest among them that has nobody for a boy/girlfriend. (most younger kids in the family already have someone and I'm 25 already and they keep telling me I'm getting a bit too old to find someone and I'm too picky (when all I ask is someone who's actually nice to me. The only people who've been interested so far are manipulators, douchebags and creeps who scared the hell out of me and laughed while doing it)
I keep thinking 'Well excuse me for actually wanting to like a person rather than just get together to not be alone anymore'

@Vineda- *hugs* I know all those feelings well about the pitying glances from family >> I hope one day you do find someone amazing! I might say the internet really helps with that- like online dating websites? Idk my first (and only) bf I met through the internet

And yea :D I can sew too- that's how I always make the top part of Large clothing fit me!
