I said I like studying. I didn't say I liked the system.
I just really like learning new stuff... (is a Nerd/geek/whatever you wanna call it)
I don't like the system though. The needing to study by heart and purely do stuff by rote just doesn't work for me... If I don't need to do that, then even stuff I'm not that interested in I like to just peruse and learn about... (luckily my brain memorises stuff I read for a hobby, so lots of useless knowledge there, sadly it didn't work that way for coursebooks I NEEDED to read... The pressure killed me)

I'm sorry to shock you. but yes, I like to study/learn. Just not for exams... (should've clarified huh)

Yessy yes, you should've been more clear! You gave me like a brain attack :qt:

I like to read academic literature casually too. I like thinking about the world around me, and reading people's theories and opinions.

But I don't have time for anything nowadays. Except rote learning and spending like all my waking hours doing that :mcargh: I tell my parents firmly that education is supposed to equip me for life, it's not supposed to be the whole point of life, and that I refuse to give up all my time to it. Even if others are doing nothing but study and I have to compete with them, when I die and my life flashes before me I'd rather see a flash of me at the computer than me at the study desk, and die feeling like 'What did I do with my life? Fucking study' :mcgloom:

That's a relief, Vineda. I like to know about things too. My dad thinks I have a thirst for knowledge, and I think I do, but not the way our dumb schools want us to -_-

Oh. My. God. The sky is probably going to leave. And I am... :qsob: The other day, it was his birthday and he didn't come to college, and my friend called him and told him to come to some random stop so we could all wish him, but that stop is after mine, so I stayed back in the van till that stop came, and I got off at that stop, and the van went and I got two minutes alone with him, in which I made things totally obvious.

I'm mindfucked.

Whoa :mcomg: *pats Kira calmingly*

He's going to leave as in, pass out of school? Or move away?

How did you make things obvious and what was his reaction?

Move away.... to the US. Illinois.

When I got off and the van went away, we were both standing there, so I waved and was like, "Happy Birthday." He's like "Thanks. Why did you get off here?" And I'm like, "Oh, just for kicks." He's like, "For kicks? Mm-hmm." Then I just waved bye and walked off. He got on his scooty and tried catching my eye, but I was avoiding it and shit...

WHO THE HELL GETS OFF AT A STOP AFTER THEIRS JUST FOR KICKS?!?!?!
