@Veetles: Not everyone shares the same morals. My cousin and I have had a talk about it before, about how each person has "core values" [things that are incredibly important to them]. I don't quite remember the convo, but I think that people who have similar core values are more likely to get along well, and those who have clashing values don't.

For those who have low EI [emotional intelligence...er, something a bit like understanding of other's feelings/thoughts], the difference in values can cause a strong conflict or rift in the relationship. Er, but you can also take personality into consideration...

I don't like killing bugs, but I will kill them, and won't feel bad for doing so when they invade my personal space [aka. enter the house]. It's nothing to boast about, but I consider it natural for me to be territorial in this sense. I don't hunt or kill creatures otherwise though; not because I think other animals have lives of equal value to humans, but because I believe that one should respect life, as well as show some care towards all things we have responsibility for [such as our environment, belongings, things we borrow...]

Aha, we can read "The Thief" together once you get it, and while you're reading, maybe you can call the library and ask if they can hold "The Queen of Attolia" too. I'd also like to make a bookclub thread in the book forums in case anyone else would like to join. :)

Hmm, would you like to try Fablehaven, then?

I know Luna was the odd one in Ravenclaw, but were there any others? Ravenclaw is usually a popular house for its intellect [and Hufflepuff for being so plain in comparison to the others]. I'm definitely into Ravenclaws because I'm all for learning, but also a Hufflepuff because I like plants and underdog characters [in this case, the underdog house. XD]

Can you recommend me a few Marina songs?

@Lacri: Aha, I don't even remember what your art looks like anymore, so I can't say how you'd do with an FC shop. I'm not sure I can price art well either, but I'd still like to see your works regardless. :)

I had a Godfather moment there. XD

Wedding sounds awesome.

Sorry, I phrased it poorly [you can blame that on me trying to catch up to 50 threads at once]. I remember your art style and can even list which characters/avatars you've drawn for me without checking, but I meant that I have no idea what your art would look like now in comparison to then. *facepalm*

Don't be sad, you definitely have a distinct style. I remember that your style was pretty skinny [but not to the xxxHolic extent]. XD

Yes, please share when you can! :D

@Errisa: Welcome back! We've been missing you. XD

@Veetles: I haven't made it yet, but I can either later today, or tomorrow. How fast do you read? If we go at a chapter a day, it may be a slow pace, but it will give people who've had a late start some time to catch up. Can we start reading tomorrow though? I have a pretty busy day today.

Yeah. Technically, people of the same religions should all have very similar moral values though, since they would take it out of said religions. Christians, for example, should take it from the Bible, and Buddhists were brought up with their own laws, and Mormons and Muslims [and etc] have theirs too.

Honestly, as a Christian sometimes that's tough because there are some things in the Bible seem to conflict with my person thinking. However, as I believe what I believe [that the Bible is true and God is real], and I know that I don't know everything and that as a human being, my sense of rationalization is limited compared to a higher being's, I try to go as far as I can in seeking the truth and then waiting for the answer in areas beyond my understanding. A lot of time, trying to shape my understanding and perspective in this way means that I poke at a lot of knowledgeable people or look through different mediums and means until I finally come to understand it. There are areas I've gotten some grasp of over times, and areas that I'll probably never understand. *facepalm*

I rambled. ._.;;

Yeah, you are right about Ravenclaws. I haven't read much past the fifth book, but I read that up yesterday. XD It makes sense because I have a friend who is a legit genius, yet when he was trying to cool his soup, he did it with an electric fan. *facepalm*

Ah, sure, I'll check her out.

What kind of job?

thank you errisa <3

mikael, oh yes I can very easily read a chapter a day. These chapters are not very long either, at least in the beginning, I looked. I think that would be a good idea to start with since, like you said, other people may join us to catch up. Perhaps if nobody joins us and it has been over a week, we could pick up the pace if you wished. Because yeah, I do read relatively fast. :o

sorry this is a bit of a delayed reply, but yeah we can start reading today if you would like~

That is probably true about morals and religions. I am not a very religious person, so I sort of made up my own morals of what I think is right. And I dont think they really match anybody elses morals. xD But I guess that is okay, just makes me sad sometimes. :v

Never worry about rambling, for I do it often and I enjoy reading and getting to know someone. It is nice to hear another perspective sometimes, since I feel very different from a lot of people.

I mean, actually a lot of people with some sort of disability or another are even better at something else, or are commonly very intelligent or come up with brilliant ideas. And sometimes these people are viewed as fairy strange. Many geniuses in the past have had some sort of disability, usually something like depression or anxiety. That is what I have read anyways. :v

its a job in management and sales, which isnt really my cup of tea but the atmosphere of the company is really lovely and the pay will be pretty good and I think all my coworkers will be fun so. yeah!! (:

Sounds good. :) I'm also going to be reading Harry Potter from the beginning [first book] if you'd like to join me. I'm not really putting a number on the chapters for this one though, since my goal is to finish reading as much of the series I can by the beginning of September. *facepalm*

Oh, did you see the book club thread yet? It's [here]. Starting today sounds good.

Ah, yeah, I know what you mean about feeling different. If asked to describe myself in comparison to others, I would often say that I feel like I'm the only one of my kind. It's like I'm an animal living in a society with other animals, and while I see dog-types, and cat-types, and rabbit-types, there is no my-type. *facepalm* But I do sometimes meet animals that have similar features to mine, and with them, I get on pretty well. [I use animals for comparison because it paints a clear picture, pfft.]

Anyways, it's kinda sad if you think you're the only one, but at the same time, I've always liked thinking of myself as an individual, so... win-lose. XD;

Ooh, well, that's good!

this is basically exactly what i feel. :P yeah i mean, i like being an individual but sometimes its really lonely to think nobody else is very much like me. i would like to be understood, ya know? >.<

But yes excellent! I am about to start reading it now. :D I didnt see the thread before, but now I have so yayy~ I hope others will join us, but its chill if not. I was actually recently rereading harry potter for perhaps the ninth or tenth time, and was almost done with the first book. xD However, I share the books with my sister and I left them all at my parents. :v I will probably retrieve them soon though, as I am always down to read my favorite series! ^~^
