It is somewhat more like the GDP in terms of finances, and more like GFP in terms of content. You are a poop.

Wait, why am I a poop? You're the one not doing your GTFO.
Are you going to outline your NaNo book? Or are you pantsing it? You unhelpfully have both badges.

I really want to have some sort of plan, but I know that if I write it down my brain will consider the matter closed. I have to pants it. In a mad rush so that I forget that I don't write long things and I don't write quickly without editing.

A month is an awfully long time to rush. You're going to have to breathe sometime.
Is it writing anything that triggers the 'I'm done'? Does it have to be somewhat detailed? Could you just plan the beginning, or just the end? Could you get yourself a beat sheet and rough it in?

What on earth is a beet sheet? Sugar beets? Is it pink?

I do not believe it is pink. It is a thing that you put in your target wordcount and and it gives you typical word allotments and estimates for things like expository chapters, how soon to get to the climax, and such. There are different ones floating around for different genres, I think. I've seen a romance one.
It's kind of detached and clinical, so it might not trick your brain into thinking your creative efforts are over.

I still don't understand what you're describing. Who is beating whom? Do I get beaten when I don't make my word count?

Happening now? I missed a day, so I'm not sure which task is current.

I'm pretty sure it's the current one. I don't think I've missed a day. Yesterday was a hunt-the-pop-ups day.
