It was a Harry Potter fanfic, and the main character was perfect, and it kept talking about goths and posers and preps, and the grammar was horrible, and the plot was horrible. I thought it was a joke, but everyone said it's serious xD

I would assume they're probably working on advice from someone to advertise their work more, even if they are a novice writer and bad grammerist. Maybe someone who read it out is a friend and they're trading? :mcheh:
