Doink and Rufus had separation anxiety when we got just Doink (we weren't told that she had a brother cuz she was with two others at the time and none of them were related to each other)
And since we got them while they were being showcased at PetCo rather than being at the animal shelter, well, noisy non-stop meowing gets annoying real quick
The adoption process is usually drawn out (but if what I hear about adopting humans is true, not as drawn out), but when we picked up Rufus, first thing we did was put him in the cat carrier. The paperwork was only halfway filled out (the other half they simply copied from the first) and instead of taking nearly an hour to get him, we were out in at most half an hour
The nights they were separate Doink spent every night with me. After we got Rufus, not so much. The two spend their nights in their "spots"
Doink is becoming a spoiled rotten brat (partially due to the roommate having a cat and so all involved with that, including different brand cat food and cat treaplacewhile Rufus, as I had thought when we first got him, will be quite the lap kitty once his kitten hyper wears down. Even now, he showcases it a lot (like right now he's curled up on my stomach)
So if I ever move out, I need to find a cat-friendly place for those two. Fortunately, they rarely go out, and when they do, they're on harnesses, so they can't roam out too far
Doink doesn't like having it put on until they go outside. Then she doesn't mind it so much. Rufus never minds his, except for when I'm putting it on him because it's a loop that goes over his head and the buckle is in the back. Doink's has buckles on front and back tho, so hers is a bit easier to put on (when she ain't fighting)
I've never been in a one-cat situation. Back when it was Corbin, Jazz, Big Guy and Mouse was the smallest cat count I'd ever had

I just realized that "take out" means food, dating, and murder. And if you were a female praying mantis you'd have all three.

Where did you buy the harness though? I was thinking of getting one for my cat so he can go outside at least.
