Star Wars? A collective view of the future? Not my view, definitely.
My view includes Solar Roadways (http://www.solarroadways.com/) and nightglowing trees. I want more people to actually care for the planet, rather then dreaming of travelling through space :/

Star wars is my view of the in space future. My husband and I are hoping for a Star Trek on Earth future. World peace, no disease and no currency.

Like, trees that have been bio-engineered to be luminescent, and then cities plant them instead of putting in streetlights?


/has not heard the term before, is trying to figure out what you might mean.

I also saw these really neat domes with algae sealed in them, that eat up sunlight and produce energy, super cool.

ooooh, that is so exciting! I bookmarked it so I can take a look at it later when I've got a couple of hours and an awake brain. So exciting!
I really like the implications of that maker kit -really I'd rather have one very dimly glowing tree than twelve bright but more ephemeral and small plants.
I'm definitely going to read through what they have up, and check out that community for FAQs and maybe email them a few times, see what is possible!
