@Neith when I very first joined, the second knuffel I ever bought (and all I bought at first were knuffels, I had something like six of them before getting anything from the stores or the market) had the glitch. I didn't even know about room items then.
So unless that knuffel had been dropped by someone else who'd done stuff to the room and it was somehow 'remembering' that, then it has to be something else causing it.
(I've also only had it happen to elemental knuffels, though.)
