yeah, she was being really good at the appointment. I had to take my jacket off and put it on the table because she kept hiding in my sleeves :mcheh:
but they basically told me everything I already know, and will give me a call with an estimate on the cost and when I can set up the operation appointment

~edit; got the estimate for the operation and an appointment for wednesday morning. I'll be sure to keep you posted on how she's doing (planning on taking a pic of her before the appointment and after the appointment)

That's so cute ;-;

Oh, yes, that'd be awesome! A before and after picture. Or just pictures in general. I could search up rats and see thousands of well taken photos but they get boring after a while...

so, Lil' had her operation yesterday, it went well but she had to stay overnight. she just came home today, she's mainly really drowsy and a bit stiff with movement but seems to be doing pretty good.

photobucket isn't letting me edit pictures to a good size for kofk

but I put up four new pics on photobucket, the first is the morning after the operation, and the next three are after I was able to take her home

thanks :mcglee:

yea, same here. though she hasn't been liking taking her antibiotic (I'm seeing if she'll eat it mixed with the baby food I got her ~vet recommended it for now since she hasn't really been eating solids since the operation) she hasn't been liking any of her pain meds either, but she's been acting how she would before the operation which is neat just a lot more sleepy/groggy from meds.
I tried letting her hang out with Pippin, but Pip kept trying to mess with her stitches, so I'll need to be careful of that during play time.

edit~ so some of Lily's stitches broke open last night, so she had to get restitched this morning, she's staying there overnight again, but it sounds like she's doing ok

I'm not entirely sure, it could have been a few different things. she had been messing with them, but she also kept overexerting herself (like trying to jump/climb), the way her limp was from the operation and how high she moves her hind leg to walk her claws could have snagged on it, I had her out that night and she climbed into my jacket and they might have snagged on my zipper.. Idk, there was so much and I feel so bad :mcsad:

I realized after I set up the avi.
I wonder how he's doing, it's been so long it seems like

edit~ my friend who works at the clinic said that it was most likely from her cleaning it and licking/nipping at the stitches, she's staying with my friend for observation for a few days until her pain shots are done (I can't seem to give her the pain shots, can't hold her still)
having Pippin all alone is making me wish I had a third rattie to keep her company while her big sister is away

so, my friend called today, said the stitching (because of the placement) keeps coming open slightly and got a slight infection. they got her on new antibiotics for the infection and my friend says Lily should be fine with the new antibiotics (infection caused by it breaking open) and she'll be going in to see if the vet recommends just restitching or that and something else.

I almost want to say it's been.. close to a year or so since he's been on here (or at least in the Saloon)
I really should text him, I do have his number (I'm so bad at texting people)
