I was able to see her for a bit on thanksgiving night, and she practically jumped out of her cage to get to me. I didn't manage to take a pic, she kept climbing under my jacket to sleep on my side while I pet her. she seemed to be doing really well, just really groggy and not very happy at my friend and her mom doctoring her. with her bandaging though, she sort of looked like an... adorable, but sad, burrito. but she needs the bandaging to keep her from messing with the wounded area.

they managed to clean it out and restitch it (with stainless steel) and they managed to keep a cone on her. but she's still under observation with the infection and such.

it seems that way *nods* we do occasionally get visitors though, like someone stopped by for awhile a... a few weeks ago I think?

aaaa, Lily was being a brat today, apparently she chewed the cone off and tore out the stitches which the vet didn't think she'd beable to pull out..
but the good news, is that it seems the wound has healed to the muscle area (so it didn't pop open since it's partly healed it sounds like) and they put a.. they described it as a sort of "second skin" like a padding with antibiotics and healy stuff and wrapped her up like a burrito again to keep her from messing with it.
but it's healing, so that is very very good.

the new little one (still thinking of a name, kinda moving towards the Merida one or maybe Medley or something)
I'm so excited! she let me pick her up today, twice! and just hung out in my hands and wandering up my arms a bit, but that's quite a bit of progress!
Pippin keeps trying to wrestle with her pretty strongly though, so still unable to house together, but they seemed to be getting on a bit better tonight.

Yup, I like it here a lot! Totally don't regret it. I do miss the convenience of my large city and the variety of foods... but this ain't too bad. I could survive.

she's been so bad about that stitched area, it worries me for when she has to go in to get spayed. but I was told that the area is looking a lot better and she's going in tomorrow to get that second skin removed to see if it's healed up (I'm really hoping she can come home this week)

I'm starting to hover around the name Meadow, Medley sounds too similar when spoken to "Lily", that and she sort of sways from side to side while examining things, like she's being blown back and forth by the wind
and I tried a different method of introductions with her and Pippin, and I think Pippin might be jealous or just weirded out by how little her new sister is, but I held them in separate hands and let them sniff each other, and one of them hissed(?) I think it was Pip too, since after the hissing Pip tried to jump at the little one :\

that's good to hear, I guess a smaller town would have fewer foodstuffs than the city. have you gotten snow yet where you are? where I'm at got hit by a bit of snow yesterday, was hoping it wouldn't snow 'till closer to January (I don't really like snow)

Pip and the new one got along a bit earlier, it was a pretty big step, but it went from getting along to scuffling again.
and omg, name picking is so frustrating! I was thinking Meadow, then started thinking "Mello" or "Melody", it's like as soon as I think I've picked something out it's back in the air again
(I heard that the light eye color/albino type eyes make seeing a bit harder, so I think she sways because she can't see well)
she does this adorable little play-dance thing though when she wants out or when she's happy/playful where she'll sort of hop around really quickly just using her hind legs, it's so cute

you don't get snow? that sounds like nice weather, especially if it doesn't get all gross and muggy during summer
the weather where I'm at can be pretty bi-polar, like it'll snow then be jacket weather, then rain and snow then be nice again. I kinda wish it would stick to being sort of fall weather, like skip summer and winter, just spring then fall then spring
